Carolina - Bama Friend Reunion
We met up with our Alabama friends we hadn’t seen in years. The cabin proved perfect to catch up from all the lost time with a spacious living room and a real fireplace (for safety purposes can’t be used from mid May to early October). Cabin was very clean, attractive, and good labeling on light switches and many other thoughtful details. There are other homes close by, but with how the house is positioned, you feel nestled deep in the woods. Townsend is a great location with good food and all you need in case you forget something as well as just a few minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain National Park and a great scenic drive to either Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. .

Great Getaway!
Had a wonderful time at this cabin! Clean and well stocked, quiet and easy to get to. The best part was the screened in deck! Saw some deer from the deck even. The bed is tall but there is a step for us short people :) We would advise you to bring breakfast food and cook your own, the local restaurants were expensive. There's plenty of pots pans dishes and utensils for cooking and eating, dishwasher for easy cleanup, propane grill for letting the man cook the meals! It's a nice cozy place to relax in between trips around the mountains. Pet friendly as well. Definitely a nice place to stay on the quiet side of the smokies, would book this one again.

Spring getaway
My husband and I spent 3 nights. Everything was just as it looked online; beautiful, clean, cozy, comfortable, quiet area. We were pleased with everything. The kitchen was well stocked with all the items we needed to make all our meals (except one) during our stay. We love staying in this area. A terrible wind storm knocked out power overnight and downed some limbs across one of the roads leading out of the neighborhood. The power company was on it first thing the following morning and had everything back up quickly. The roads were also cleared quickly as well. By afternoon everything was back to normal. We did drive to the Apple Valley cafe for breakfast the morning we lost power and had a delicious breakfast there. We also drove to the Ace hardware store for some fire starter sticks. We thought we might need to use the fireplace for heat- but as it turned out, we didn’t need it. Everyone we spoke with in Townsend was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend Laurel Mist and the Townsend area.

Cabin in the woods
Perfect spot to be away from it all, yet very easy access to necessities on the main highway & WiFi connectivity if needed. The cabin area was extremely quiet and only 10-15 minutes away from The Smokies. It was very clean & well supplied. Very easy CI &CO and manager very quick to respond to any requests.

I have been selling Smoky Mountain Real Estate since 2007 and managing Smoky Mountain Rental Properties since 2014. As the Owner and Principal Broker of a Townsend based Real Estate Firm, I have been in and out of hundreds of rental cabins. Feeling strongly that people want to be treated to a clean and well stocked cabin in a private surrounding, my husband and I decided to see if our theory was correct. We purchased our first cabin in 2014 and put it in service. The demand was overwhelming, and we soon purchased our second and third. The owners of Laurel Mist purchased this cabin from us and we agreed to manage the rental of this cabin as well, since it has the same private setting and warm interior decor that our guests enjoy. We felt Laurel Mist was a perfect match for our clients.

Why they chose this property

The atmosphere and location of this cabin provide the perfect getaway for the owners. Nestled into the trees and well off the roadway, the privacy abounds. Townsend is a small town that is a gateway community to the National Park. To visit the area opens up the entire park to visitors. This cabin has a warm interior with a huge main living space and stacked stone fireplace. The french doors that lead to the screened in back porch add a bright and inviting outdoor living area to the already spacious interior.
It was for the owners, a perfect choice to enjoy themselves, and to share with other guests to the area.
With strong ties to UT, this home away from home was a no brainer!

What makes this property unique

Laurel Mist backs to county parkland and a nature preserve. This cabin is has great outdoor space and privacy abounds. Located in the same Natural Surroundings as The Cove and Smoke Rise, this cabin will sleep four, offering a bit larger accommodations when needed.
Relax on the screened in porch and enjoy the sounds of surrounding nature.
