About this property

True Etruscan Experience in Orvieto

In 1998 I purchased this house located in the oldest part of Orvieto. For 13 years I have been working with two architects friends to restore it to its current condition. The extensive restorations on the house were done fully respecting the original character of its medieval neighborhood, as well as integrating all modern amenities inside. My house is located half a block away from San Giovenale, the oldest Orvieto Church, which was built in 1004. Orvieto is divided in four quarters (Quartieri) and San Giovenale is one of them.

Rental is available with a minimum of three nights stay. Upon your arrival you will be greeted by Paolo Luciani, the manager, who will meet you in the square in front of the train station below the rock.
Please look at the video and pictures, which are important as an introduction to an unforgettable experience for your stay in Orvieto.

Other things to note:

Once your stay is confirmed we will communicate directly by phone and by email.

The daily rental price includes mandatory city occupancy tax.

What an amazing place!
This house and its views are not describable in words. Amazing town, great stay. We couldn’t wait to go back. So much history in Orvieto and the house itself. Couldn’t review it higher.

Great place
The house has been thoughtfully designed and was very comfortable. Views were tremendous and we loved that the upper town of Orvieto is a walking town. Farmer’s markets on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. San Giovenale church was built in 1000 and is still in use every day. Beautiful mass on Christmas Day. If you’re looking for quiet and serene with great views, this is your place.

Extraordinary House
Apart from the spectacular views across the valleys and hills, this house has its own archeological exploration on display underneath. Comfortable, spacious, sleeps 5. We would gladly stay again.

House on the Rock
An unbelievable experience. The house was perfect and a great size for entertaining family and friends. Orvieto is a very friendly community and made friends for life while there. We are already planning a return trip to visit.
