About the property

THE CITY

'A masterpiece of human creative genius' cit. Unesco

Rome is a difficult reality to describe by words: archaeological sites, monuments, churches, Veneto street of Fellini's Dolce Vita or places of current and worldly politics. Many films have chosen Rome as set, but 'Roman Holiday' surely is one of the most well-known: Gregory Peck and Audrey Hepburn riding a Vespa around the city day and night, from Roman Forum to the little streets of Trastevere, from Trinità dei Monti to Castel Sant'Angelo, from Trevi Fountain to Via Margutta. The film's success, which made Vespa legendary worldwide, still today at fifty years of distance suggests one of the best way to enjoy your visit in Rome: let yourself be caught from the flow of Roman life, chaotic but at the same time capable of magic moments.

LOCATION:

Harmonia Mundi Home Holiday is a new elegant and tastefully decorated three rooms apartment that faces directly over Campo dei Fiori square. You can enjoy the magical atmosphere of the square from the balcony drinking a glass of wine or decide to turn to the surrounding alleys in search of flavors and the unique atmosphere of the Eternal City.

By day you'll be able to enjoy the traditional fresh fruit/vegetables market , countless restaurants and boutique shops, while at night it morphs into a lively open-air cafè and restaurants area which make of Campo de Fiori the most celebrated square in the city.

For centuries it was the site of public executions, and it was here that philosopher monk Giordano Bruno was burned at the stake for heresy in 1600.

It's the perfect place to be based to tour Rome with its central location that makes it a walking distance from the main attractions: Piazza Navona (2 minutes), Pantheon (5 minutes), Vaticano (13 minutes), Trevi fountain (15 minutes),Coloseum (20 minutes) Piazza di Spagna (20 minutes).

Harmonia Mundi

The apartment has an indipendent entrance and some steps will lead you at the main floor of a seventeenth-century historical building. It is a three-bedrooms apartment, with kitchen, living room/dining room and two bathrooms. Furnished kitchen with all you need to cook; you will find different types of coffee machines, for a long American coffee or a good Italian espresso.

Sheets and towels will be provided. Washing machine and dishwasher are at your disposal.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS

We will be happy to help our guests to enjoy their visit in Rome. We can arrange a pick-up from/to all airports and train stations or Civitavecchia port. We also have lots of NOT TOURISTIC RESTAURANTS in the area so You can choose and I can guarantee You will be treated there professionally but always like a local .

We'd stay here again

  • 5 of 5

I was surprised that four introverts would enjoy staying in a place located in such a busy area, but we loved it. The apartment is spacious and Steven was extraordinarily helpful every step of the way, both before and during our stay. There was some additional noise from construction, which didn't bother most of us, but my daughter said that it sounded like people were bowling in the middle of the night on the floor above her bedroom. We just got home from our stay there (June 2017) and we were extremely thankful for the air conditioning. We'd get back from walking all around Rome in the heat and be able to cool off. The location is ideal for going out and seeing the sights. It was our first visit to Rome. If we return, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful stop in an amazing journey across Italy! The home is just as it's pictured. It's beautiful and clean, and we appreciated the air conditioning after battling the 90-degree days. The home is conveniently located and owner Steve was very helpful and accommodating. Our only complaint is that we couldn't stay longer!

Exceeded expectations!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent the month of May at this lovely apartment overlooking Campo dei Fiori. The bedrooms and baths were spacious and more than adequate for us and visiting guests. The windows in the bedrooms that look out over the Campo are actually two windows in one and essentially block all of the noise so sleeping was not a problem. The kitchen is small and has no oven other than the microwave but we were able to cook delicious meals on several occasions with the fresh produce available right outside the door at the market. The living room with comfy couches and a dining table for six also has windows on the Campo so we usually kept these open in order to drink in the ambiance, especially the performers in the evenings! There is a small area off of the living area where we were able to set up a drying rack so laundry was out of the way. The windows overlooking the Campo are full length with Juliette balconies.

The location of the apartment is outstanding! There is an abundance of restaurants, markets, bars and shops within a 10-15 minute walking radius. The bar/restaurant downstairs become our neighborhood spot for a spritz in the afternoon and an amauro at night. The staff there were very welcoming and treated us like locals. There is a pasticceria within a block with delicious treats and take away cafe Americano.

But one of the best aspects of this apartment is the management! Steve and his partner went out of the way to make our stay so memorable. They came a couple of times during the month to change the sheets, bring fresh towels and drop off more Nespresso pods at no extra charge. We had an issue with one of the shower heads getting the bathroom floor wet so they replaced the head. Problem solved! We mentioned that the kitchen could use more light so they had an electrician there the next day to install two new lights in the ceiling. They even provided a driver to take us to Tivoli one day as a treat for renting for a month. I cannot say enough about about the service!

We would not hesitate to rent this apartment again and highly recommend it to others.

Location was amazing. Couldn't have been a better location for our family of 4 staying 4 nights

  • 5 of 5

So convenient to be picked up at airport. The hosts went out of their way to help us get tickets for an AS Roma soccer game that was high on our bucket list. The apartment was clean and so spacious. Perfect location. Exciting night life. We booked Walks of Italy cooking class which was excellent experience & the meeting place just happened to be right at the statue in the square. Loved waking up and taking in the lively market It was my first trip to Italy and I will definitely be back. I would recommend this apartment 100%. Thank you so much for the truly lovely stay.

Comfortable, stylish and right in the action!

  • 4 of 5

The apartment is on the first floor of an historic building which borders campo di fiori, above a restaurant which incidentally serves a very nice breakfast. It is elegantly furnished and the beds were comfortable. The square hosts a bustling market each day which is handy for local produce. All the attractions of Rome are within easy walking distance. There were six adults in our party, and all in all we found the apartment more than adequate for our needs. The owners are marvelously helpful and arranged transfers and advice with restaurants etc.

Now before I outline my next point I have to say that we were here over New Year and so were completely ready for the noise of the festive season. The windows boast two sets of double glazed windows so the noise from outside was minimal even on New years eve. The only noise intrusion was from the establishments below, who would play music late into the evening which disturbed our sleep at times.

However we thought this a small price to pay to be at the center of things, especially at that time of year.

In short a wonderful apartment in an enviable position.......we had an unforgettable time!

Best Location Ever

  • 5 of 5

About us: two couples in our early 70's. We spent a week in Rome and then four weeks on a cruise ship.

This was our fourth visit to Rome in seven years, during all of which we have stayed in apartments booked through VRBO. We have enjoyed all of the apartments, but of the four, this was our favorite. The owner, Steve, and his girl friend met us upon our arrival and helped us get our luggage up the one flight of stairs.....not an easy task as there were four of us with enough luggage for our week's stay in Rome and then an extended cruise.

We were greeted by an apartment that was exactly like the photos. It has the old world charm you want in an historic location like Campo de' Fiori and all the modern conveniences we have come enjoy, such as air conditioning was works very well. The living room/dining area and two of the three bedrooms have Juliet type Balconies overlooking all the activity of Campo de' Fiori.

Campo de' Fiori has something going on 24 hours a day, from market setup, selling, breakdown; the numerous restaurants at night; as well as music and what appears to be a nightly party. All this activity could be bothersome, but the apartment is well insulated and has modern windows which are very effective at blocking the noise, though a light sleeper might benefit from earplugs at night. I was the only light sleeper and with earplugs I heard nothing throughout the night, nor did it keep anyone else awake.

From the apartment it is an easy walk to almost every place you want to visit. One of our party has a difficult time walking distances, so we used taxi's that were readily available right outside our front door......a great way to get around quickly and they were reasonable priced.

There are many restaurants in the square, including one that became our favorite, "Magnolia". Also it's just a short walk to all of the restaurants and shops in Trastevere....if you haven't been there, don't miss it.

You can't go wrong with this apartment, so look no further and feel confident about your dealings with Steve, We found him very accommodating and above board. The next time we visit Rome we will be disappointed if the Campo de' Fiori apartment is not available.
