The villa is located in a cule-de-sac, so it has the facilities of a development but all the benefits of an independent villa. It is just a stroll to restaurants, tennis courts and extra communal swimming pools.

Upper floor. Large - parents – sleeping room with king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower and a private balcony facing the swimming pool area. Further secluded terrace accessed from the landing.

Ground floor. Two twin bedrooms, one with en suite bathroom and doors leading to the terrace overlooking the pool area. The second bedroom has a separate bathroom with shower. Kitchen with a door leading to the barbecue area. Spacious living with fireplace and dining room with French windows to a covered raised terrace with access to the swimming pool which has steps and a floodlit surrounding terrace. Partially secluded gardens with shrubs and trees and a small lawn.

Area description : Villa Alegria is situated in the heart of the so called Golden Triangle of the Algarve.

We advice you to check its location on Google Earth: click on the coordinates 37 ° 02'53 .01 'N, 08 ° 02'21 .53' west longitude. On our own website algarve-villas.nl, next Villa Alegria, you will find three more villas: one with (just like Villa Alegria) 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and 2 villas with 4 bedrooms and bathrooms.

All our 4 villas have been built in the heart of the Golden Triangle and are in a straight line only 375 meters maximum from eachother!

Sightseeing around Almancil: The church of Sao Lourenço de Matos is situated on a hill. It owes its name to Laurentius (3rd century), who's life was ended on a funeral pile because he gave the money meant for the construction of the church to the poor. In the 17th century the chapel was covered with tiles (azulejos). Together with the marbel alter and the wood carving you should visit this church.

On 18 km. from the urbanisations you will find the centre of the capital city of the Algarve: Faro, with its beautiful hostirical centre next to the small vessel harbour, has several shopping centres. There are lots of cafes and restaurants as well.

The shops are modern and they can be compared with the shops you are used to in UK and Ireland. Most of them are opened from 09.00 until 13.00 hour and after the 'siesta' from 15.00 until 19.00 hour (in the summer until 20.00 hour). Between the city centre and Faro airport Forum Algarve mall is opened between 09.00 and 22.00.

Fun for Kids: In a country where the weather most of the year is warm and sunny, your children can play with water. Fortunately all the villas have a private swimming pool!

Older children can go to the communal pool of Riapark Garden hotel and the pool next to the tennis court on urbanization Vale do Garrão. Just a stroll of 200 meters!

Zoo marine

A water park with several dolphin, seal and sea-lion shows. One can also watch turtles, sharks, crocodiles, tropical fish and exotic and aquatic birds in the Oceans area that presents the life cycle of water and fauna from river source to ocean depth.

We are Sietske Abma & Oebele Veenstra from the Netherlands and since February 2012 moved from Heemskerk (near Amsterdam) to the province of Friesland in the village of De Wilgen. Back to the roots.

Many years ago we made a 3-weeks-Portugal-tour with a final 'week of sun in the Algarve'. The environment of the village of Almancil are very pleased! Two years later went back and decided to buy a house to get yourself to stay and to rent.

At least twice in every year we go to our villa with pleasure. We are delighted with the (year-round) mild climate, friendly atmosphere, delicious food and luxurious surroundings.

Tolles Haus in sehr schöner Umgebung

Wir (zwei Erwachsene und drei Kinder) haben uns in dem schönen Ferienhaus sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus war sauber und ist wirklich prima ausgestattet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir die sehr freundliche Betreuung vor Ort durch Alina! Der Kontakt zum Eigentümer war ebenfalls klasse und die Abwicklung hat reibungslos funktioniert. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Nice villa, modern bathrooms, fantastic equiped kitchen, easy to find. Nice beach with restaurants near by. For us absolute marvelous, will be back next year.

Excellent holiday on perfect spot in Algarve

Very nice villa on an excellent location, in between the sea and the golf resorts of Vale de Lobo and Quinto do Lago. The villa has everything you might need on a holiday, is cleaned 3 times a week, has a nice a swimming pool and a number of terraces. Information upfront by the friendly owners as well as in the villa was accurate, and they also helped us with a rental car. Everything worked out just fine.

We stayed there in August 2011 and we have really enjoyed our stay - everything was as promised and the house and the area were great.

The owner was easy to deal with and very responsive, teh house is in a really quiet neighboorhood, yet close to the beach and golf courses - we had great fun.

Estuvimos de vacaciones en villa Alegria a primeros de julio del 2010.

La villa esta muy bien y esta muy cuidada ,las habitaciones grandes y bien equipadas y los baños muy nuevos. La villa se encuentra en una urbanización muy tranquila rodeada de pinares.La piscina muy cuidada y de tamaño suficiente para una familia.La villa tiene varias terrazas que estan muy bien para comer ,desayunar.En la planta superior esta la habitación de matrimonio muy grande con baño y dos terrazas.El propietario de la villa el SR Oebele Veenstra es una persona muy agradable que estará siempre pendiente de contestarte a todas tus dudas y que la estancia en su villa sea lo mas agradable posible,un diez para el propietario por su seriedad y su amabilidad.Recomiento esta villa.

Lovely large villa

Villa Alegria is a delightful property in a quiet residential upmarket area. It is close to the airport and therefore only 20mins or so drive away. It is very well equipped, clean and comfortable throughout and the bathrooms are especially nice. There is lots of room for three couples and you would find it quite private as you each have a bathroom. The pool area is large enough to accommodate a large group and there are several different terraces for dining options. The owners are very friendly and easy to deal with and respond to emails quickly. Overall I would recommend this villa and would use it again if I wanted to be in that area. The beach is a ten minute stroll and is very nice. It also has several very nice restaurants to return to in the evening. I would recommend you hire a car if only to get you to and from the airport and the supermarket.

Villa Alegria is a very nice villa on a perfect spot, not far from the sea. In The Netherlands the climate is quite colder and more rainy than in the Algarve. Why not buying a villa there for using ourselves and - if we are not there - for renting purposes.

Almancil is a small city with at about 6.000 inhabitants. It is only 18 km west of Faro airport (15 minutes by car). The city has several shops and services, e.g. supermarkets, magazine shops, baker shops, butchers, res­tau­rants and bars. Apart from a medical centre, there are doctors and dentists as well. The urbanization of Vale do Garrão is situated in the Golden Triangle of the Algarve, between the well-known resorts of Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago in Almancil, Algarve. This area is famous for its sandy beaches and its many golf courses. Both the parks are lying next to each other (only 500 meters in between). Villa Alegria is only 800m away from the beach.

Golf: From here to the clubhouse of the various clubhouses of the courses of Quinta do Lago urbanisation is 3 to 4 kilometres (in eastern direction from our villa). Quinta do Lago locates 5 superb 18-holes golfcourses: Quinta do Lago North (Ria Formosa), Quinta do Lago South, Sao Lourenco, Pinheiros Altos and the new top course of Laranjal.

Urbanisation Vale do Lobo is on 2 kilometres distance in western direction from all our villas. Vale do Lobo locates 2 great 18-holes golf courses, called the Ocean Course and the Royal Golf Course. On the Royal Golf Course especially hole 16 (par 3) is world famous. The name of this hole is 'SWEET SIXTEEN'. You will have to hit the ball over a cliff next to the beach of the Atlantic Ocean.

In all our villas you will find an information map with all the 30 golfcourses in the Algarve.

Within 3,5 kilometers from our villas, you will find a golfshop, where you can buy your greenfees at fast reduced prices. They always have special deals at various courses. Don buy Greenfees at the courses. If you like, we will provide you all the details you need.
