Update! Making major progress with repairs! Still need inside finishing and new furnishings in the Dock House and twin bedroom but houses are intact and dry! Big issue now is waiting for power to come back to the island. Update December 2020 - because of Covid we haven't been able to get back to work and there still isn't power available. So we are chilling in Virginia (literally!) and anxiously awaiting power news and safe traveling conditions and can't wait to get back down! Thanks to Linda and Raymo for looking after the place while we can't!
We will be back! Hurricane Dorian hit all of the Abaco Islands and Hope Town was especially hard hit. Sadly our house was seriously damaged. Not sure when, but we WILL BE BACK! #HOPETOWNSTRONG!!!
Available together or separately, historic Harbour Lights and the all-new Dockhouse studio include all the modern conveniences while retaining Hope Town charm. Check your stress at the door (or the dock!) and prepare to relax and enjoy.
After a day of island exploring, snorkeling and/or diving the world's 3rd largest barrier reef, fishing, beaching or simply relaxing, you will find Harbour Lights and The Dockhouse the perfect spots to sit back and unwind with family and friends.
Both Harbour Lights and the Dockhouse have beautiful views of the famous Hope Town lighthouse, the harbour and the settlement. Enjoy the stunning 360 degree panoramic view from the "sky deck" where you can see from the Atlantic Ocean to the Sea of Abaco and everything in between! Sit back, relax, enjoy the sunset and stargaze on both deck levels (Main House).
The spacious main house sleeps 6 comfortably in 2 bedrooms with king beds and 1 bedroom with two twin beds. Each floor of the main house has a full bath. The cozy Dockhouse sleeps 2 in a queen bed, has a full bath, and is available to rent with the main house (for adults only) or separately. The fully equipped kitchen in the main house includes microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker and grinder, blender, UV-treated and filtered drinking water, full assortment of baking/cookware. The Dockhouse kitchenette has a small stove and refrigerator and cookware, coffeemaker and grinder, blender, and UV-treated and filtered drinking water.
Accessible only by boat, the property has its own private dock with 3.5 feet mean low water (MLW) and plenty of space for a large boat. If available (and it usually is), you may use our dinghy for trips across the harbour, but we strongly suggest renting a larger boat so you can get out into the Sea of Abaco and see the sights!
