Trulli Amazing
Having wanted a different holiday experience to our usual annual package deal, we set about googling holiday homes in Italy. After some time, we stumbled upon the Homeaway website with an abundance of places located across Italy.
The process was easy enough, once we decided on location; all we had to do was choose the property. Having looked at a few in the area, there was something unique and enticing about the Trullo in Alberobello. I felt it looked like a well-loved home with a lot of care and attention given to the little details. This after all, is what you look for when choosing a destination!
The person we dealt with was efficient and tentative with excellent communication, which was a great relief as we had never arranged our own holiday before! Having bit the bullet, we booked the Trullo and it did not disappoint. On arriving at the airport our car was ready and waiting (as hiring a car was recommended to us); we soon understood the freedom that having our own wheels brought us, days could be planned when it suited us, rather than having to find local transport, which in a foreign country can be frustrating if you don't speak the lingo!
On arrival my heart melted at the scenery; why hadn't we done this before! No-one fighting over pool space, no annoying children screaming, it was pure bliss. The place was warming and tranquil and I immediately felt settled once we checked out our surroundings; you could feel the stresses of life melting away...
Throughout the holiday we had free access to wifi; a nice touch as some places would charge extra for this facility. It enabled us to find things to do in the area and allowed us to plan effectively.
All in all, this holiday was by far the best we've had in many years. Now into our 30's it was exactly what we wanted; culture, scenery, peace and quiet! A real taste of Italy. We will definitely be recommending this place to our friends and family.
A truly idyllic holiday that will set any romantic hearts on fire.
