very inviting, comfortable, and a pool for liming.

Artist studio visit: I'm Sheldon from East of Toronto in Canada. On my second visit I had the opportunity of staying in The Artist Studio as well as The Corner View Suite. I was given a different room at The Hibiscus Heights Villa for each of these visits to Tobago. Hibiscus Heights is just walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants and bars and Grafton Beach. Grafton Beach a sandy beach, it is great for wading and swimming. The beach isn't busy which lends to a nice quite day at the beach. The monotony is broken up by black rock jutting into the sea which we explored to find small fish caught in natural rock pools waiting for high tide to release them. I have spent much time this summer liming by the pool and seeing the owners in action. They are quick to respond to inquires. I would rather be dealing with people who do care and meet up with the very people who you have been arranging your stay. The owners are helpful with advice of where to go for food and outings. My party was picked up at the airport. We also took advantage of their guided tour promotion around the island another day during my first visit. Hibiscus Heights has great Wi-Fi reception everywhere. The TV's cable signal is clear as expected but out of my 28 days in paradise, I only watched 20 minutes of TV a few times. The A/C works excellent and is very easy to set the temperature. Each room at the Hibiscus Heights Villa has a different ambiance which is refreshing and quite a change from the standard rooms in hotels. During my second visit more family than was expected stayed for an evening. We were able to house the guests in "The Artist Studio" at the last minute. The Artist Studio is on the same elevation as The Corner View Suite. It has a double door walk through for a large group to be conjoined. The Kitchen is a nice size where help in the kitchen to share the chores, will not get in the way. It is perfect for a couple or small family of 3. The Artist Studio has a spacious and comfortable patio where all you see is foliage and the calm sea. Sheldon

A home away from home

Great stay in Tobago

Glory and Mike's Studio was perfect for the 3 of us to enjoy Tobago. The studio was very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. Mike and Glory were great hosts they gave tips on things to do and places to eat. We enjoyed the beaches, hikes to falls, nearby snorkeling (swimming with turtles and many, many varieties of fish), and all the food was great, we especially enjoyed walking to the Edge for a seafood feast, where Hugh (14) had the Seafood Smash, which was a smash hit!!!! We also cherish talking with Warren the owner of the Edge (if you have time Warren takes visitors out deep sea fishing catch and eat excursions!). The studio was a great place for us to unwind from our days exploring the island, the little pool was so relaxing, we highly recommend Glory and Mike's place! Dave, Lisa and Hugh from Colorado

Hibiscus Heights is a friendly, ideal spot for views, beach and restaurants in Black Rock.

Our hosts Mike and Glory opened the Artist’s Studio upon our early arrival and offered useful local information for our short stay. We toured the other available suites which were spacious, light and well-equipped, ideal for families and longer stays. As the Artist’s Studio had not been booked until the next day, we were allowed to stay until our late evening flight to Port of Spain. And Mike kindly drove us to the nearby airport. Hibiscus Heights offers the personal touch to a Caribbean beach holiday. Within easy walking distance to beautiful Grafton Beach and several good restaurants, a small grocery shop and take-out. All apartments are equipped for self-catering. Flowers and plants decorate every level of the property. Perched on a hill, several steps above street level, Hibiscus Heights offers a friendly alternative to large beach resorts.

Not surprising, you'll find us living on site most of the year, especially during those cold winter months in Canada, where we have both lived for many years. Although Glory spent her younger years in Trinidad and Mike in the UK, our home base is in Ontario.
