Fantastic location overlooking the sea. Great Stay.
We had a fantastic stay at Villa Caricole in early October. The house is located right on the coastal path in a really nice setting, surrounded by trees. It wasn't too-hot when we visited, but we can imagine that the tree shade would be really welcome in high summer. We really enjoyed sitting on the rocks by the sea in front of the property (great sunrises). It was a short drive to the nearest town and shops and well situated to access most of the island. The house is spacious and quite capable of hosting at least 6-8 people (there were only 4 of us). Pedro was extremely helpful (as was Catherine) and sorted out a minor issue we had very quickly.
There are a few things that we feel are worth visitors being aware of. To get to the master bedroom upstairs involves walking through another double bedroom so if you want your privacy, this house sleeps 6. It is worth noting that this house is not super modern and so has a few "character" features (such as older plumbing) but generally manageable. There was no microwave oven which would have been handy. It has broadband but probably due to its location it is painfully slow (if that's important to you). There are alot of trees around the property so be prepared to use insect repellent if you want to sit outside. None of these would have put us off, but we would have prefered to know this in advance.
