Great location in the quiet countryside, but also within easy access to the main A303.
The hosts were very welcoming and the loft was comfortable and warm. I would recommend this studio to anyone, it is especially good for a relaxing weekend away from it all. Having said that if you don't wish to loose contact it has good phone signal and fast internet so you can choose. I have had a brilliant stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

Everything You Need
This little studio loft gives you the comfort and privacy and luxury that far exceeds a hotel room. The kitchen was well equipped and I was able to cook a 3 course meal and everything finished to a high quality. The dining facilities were full size and the bed very comfortable. We took a walk around the village and through the owners extensive garden and enjoyed the birdsong and rural setting of a quaint English village. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows and extra blankets. It would be hard to criticise anything about this property or the hospitality of Roger and Benedicte. Maybe a little personal feedback would be that we would have preferred a double quilt instead of two singles and a sofa instead of two armchairs. Also while cooking something to keep me company such as a small TV or radio but this is purely personal and not essential.

Good location, close to Winchester and New Forest with nice local pubs for lunch or dinner and everything fairly close to visit in that area.

Kind host
Benedicte showed great kindness to me. I needed to stay at her property to visit a relative who was at the end of life in very difficult circumstances and she was wonderfully supportive

About the host

I was born in Geneva where I lived until I married my English husband and moved to the UK in 1989.
I am a holistic beauty therapist and enjoy giving relaxing treatments in my beautiful treatment room, overlooking the garden, in the main house on the property.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the property at first sight - it was a bright sunny day in May and we immediately felt at home (and so did our dog, at the time!). We were seduced by the seclusion of the vast garden (very neglected) and the charm of the old house ( in need of complete refurbishment) - it all had huge potential. As a bonus, the property was so easy to access from any direction and so convenient for Heathrow or London, either by road or rail.
Twenty-five years on, the house had to be totally re-built following a catastrophic fire in 2005, so it still looks a bit new, but it mellows gradually and will regain its old charm eventually. The garden offers a wonderful sense of space and seclusion that most people describe as peaceful - it features a large pond (in place of a derelict tennis court) often visited by wild ducks and geese, depending on the time of year.
We love the property more than ever and equally love the beautiful surrounding region with so much to see and visit - we hope you will come to share both with us.

What makes this property unique

We love the sense of seclusion offered by the garden and the surrounding trees, but particularly appreciate the central position of the property and its ease of access from any direction.
The property is completely secure, behind closed gates, and there is ample parking space.
