About this property

Casa Rossa offers lovely accommodation with amazing views of both lake and mountains and set within the rustic cobbled streets at the heart of the historic centre of Acquaseria yet only a short few minutes' walk to the nearest beach. Casa Rossa is stylishly furnished and equipped to a very high standard. Arranged over two floors, the entrance hall on the ground floor is warm & welcoming with a 'wine cellar' for you to enjoy - all we ask is that you replace any empty bottles for our next guests. The layout of the house is 'upside down' and the 2 bedrooms are on the ground floor. The master bedroom has a king sized double bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. Both bedrooms have efficient ceiling fans and share a small private terrace with lake and mountain views. A bathroom with shower completes the ground floor accommodation and a spiral staircase leads up to the first floor.
The first thing you will notice at the top of the stairs is the panoramic view before you. Patio doors running almost the full width of the front of the house open onto a private terrace - lake, mountains and sailing boats take up the entire vista (180 degrees and beyond). The terrace has a table and chairs and there are also a couple of sun beds for those who want to spend a lazy day 'at home'. It is a real sun-trap all year round and it's great to slide wide the doors and enjoy some indoor/outdoor living. The lounge is furnished with a soft brown leather sofa and armchair with co-coordinating cushions, rugs and throws. This is complemented by an antique wooden trunk with lamps and spotlights to showcase the wonderful wooden beams in the vaulted ceiling. A contemporary glass and chrome dining table completes the room. There is free wifi, and a flat screen TV with satellite channels. Weather conditions affect the signal but the TV has USB ports and scart sockets so feel to bring your own streaming device if TV is imperative. There is a DVD player which also plays CD's and a small selection of books, DVD's and games are available.
The kitchen is open plan so shares the view from the lounge and is fully equipped with fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and all the other kitchen essentials that you would expect from first class accommodation. The first floor also boast a very convenient second bathroom with shower and washing machine.
There are multiple free parking areas around the village close to the house but please note that the house is in the ancient Borgo which is a maze of cobbled streets with some steps and climbs which may make it difficult if you are of restricted mobility.

Stunning vista

We had a lovely break at this house. The views are lovely in the day and at night,. The house is in a good location although the village itself doesn't have a lot going on. We were just out of season , however, so may have more to offer in the busier times. We did enjoy the local bar and pizza restaurant and the local shops were great. This house is in a good position for visiting the area surrounding the lake. The ferry was in the next town, about 10 mins away by car. It was easier to get to all the other local attractions too. The house itself was well equipped and had everything we needed. Dawn was a good host and answered any questions we had very promptly. There was lots of info in the house and Dawn messaged us with other tips and ideas. Overall we had a great break and would stay here again

Incredible Views of the stunning Lake Como

When we first arrived and drew back the curtains to the balcony we were blown away by the most amazing views of the Lake. It is quite breathtaking. The small but perfectly formed apartment was well appointed. Having said that the main bedroom is particularly large and it was great having the two bathrooms as we had two teenage girls with us! The village itself had a lovely bar with terrace at the rear. Great for sundowners overlooking the lake. Two good restaurants and a small general store, green grocer and butcher/cheese shop. The owner Dawn was very prompt to reply to any queries we had before we arrived and sorted out a couple of minor points we had when we arrived immediately which we were very grateful for.

Stunning views.........

We had a fantastic stay in Acquaseria in this beautiful part of Italy. The views are just amazing, fully overlooking Lake Como in a quiet residential area, and there's still a few good bars, restaurants, greengrocer shops and the local bottega which has a great pinot nero on tap! An ideal base location for Mennaggio and Bellagio, it takes a bit longer to get to Como itself on the roads heading south. The property has everything you need for a great week, and was very clean and tidy on arrival. There's a large lockable garage close by if you are unable to find space in the free car park. Dawn provided us with plenty of local information ahead of our visit which was extremely useful, and was available to contact if needed whilst we were out there, and there is also a local rep on hand for any emergencies. would thoroughly recommend, thanks again for a fantastic week relaxing on the veranda.
