Lovely place - just check which property you are booking!
This is a lovely villa which is just a few minutes from the beach. It is nicely furnished, with good indoor and outdoor spaces. It's set in its own olive grove, which makes it feel very private and peaceful. No sea view, but this didn't detract too much for us. Clean towels and sheets twice a week and we were well looked after by the property manager and cleaner.
Almyrida has a nice beach - we used the beach umbrella from the villa to set up on the public area of the beach most days and had a great time. Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk (although perhaps a little expensive) and two car hire places withing 5 mins.
A criticism is that the owner did not respond to my request for the exact location to assist the taxi driver on arrival. The location on Google Maps was wrong (although I've informed Google - July 2019 - so this may be corrected at some point). When arriving, look for the Aloe Boutique Hotel, the property is 30 m up the path on the west side of Aloe.
A point of confusion in the property description is the fact that there is a second property on the plot - a studio flat for 2 people known as the round house or windmill. The photos illustrating the villa/farmhouse also include photos of the inside of the round house. Make sure which property you are booking - the farmhouse that sleeps 4/5 or the round house which is very small, has v steep stairs and suits a couple. In our two weeks at the villa, a couple and then a single traveller arrived for a few days at the round house, and both groups were surprised and under the impression they had booked the much larger farmhouse.
However, if you have booked the farmhouse - you can expect a very pleasant stay.
