A well modernised house in a good location at the best end of Alcudia bay
The house has been very nicely modernised and extended to provide good accommodation for a family group. I would say ideally for 4 adults and 3-4 children, but it could also take 6 adults. There is a lovely indoor lounge and dining area inside for night-time and a very practical lounge and dining area in the airy garden room for daytimes. Bedrooms and bathrooms are good sizes and layouts. The garden is spacious and secluded and includes a nice pool surrounded by decking which is non-slip and avoids muddy areas from excessive splashing from the kids. The House is in a very quiet street but very close to all the amenities of Playa del Muro. Just one word of caution... the pool is unfenced and accessible from any open door in the house or garden room.
I was disappointed that there were no English channels at all on the Satelite TV... not even News. I was also surprised that there were no cleaning products or replacement toilet products in the house. There was no bleach, no dishwasher tabs, no wash tabs and only 1 toilet roll in each bathroom. We only needed a very small amount of these and we were charged 118 Euros cleaning charge. A small amount of this would have provided everything and left us feeling better cared for.
Bedding was not quite good enough. Pillows were quite poor (thin) and what duvets we could find did not fully fit the beds. The beds themselves were good.
The cooker hood and Microwave were not cleaned very well and there was still small items of paper and rubbish under furniture suggesting a more thorough clean could be done. The dishwasher did not do a great job either and looked quite old. Other items were good and well stocked.
