One bedroom, one bath cottage that was completely remodeled in 2015. All new tiled walk-in shower and bathroom. All new appliances in the fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator, Corian countertops and pantry. Queen size Tempur-cloud bed in the bedroom and a Queen size pull out couch in the living room. Air conditioning, Roku TV, DVD/BluRay/WiFi player, Stereo Radio/CD player, Free WiFi, off street parking, large screened in porch, Stacked washer/dryer and patio.

Perfect place to unwind.

This was a perfect little cottage. The property was spotlessly clean and everything was provided for our short stay. After staying in Hotel rooms for most of our vacation, it was lovely to find laundry facilities and lots of little extras that you will not find in a hotel. The only down side was the appalling rain, but that certainly was not our host's fault. We just stayed in the cottage and made use of the numerous board games that were provided. Thank you Bill and Betty for your kindness. We will certainly tell our relations and friends about your perfect cottage and hope to stay with you when we next visit Tavares.

About the host

My wife and I, along with our two boys moved to Florida from Upstate NY in 1983 and bought this home in 1984. Besides the main house, where we now reside as empty nesters, there is one upstairs apartment and the cottage. My wife's mother and father lived in the cottage until her dad passed away and her mother moved into an ALF in 2014, which left the cottage empty. We have had the apartment completely remodeled which is now being offered as a vacation rental.

Why they chose this property

We're located on a quiet street that is walking distance to the downtown area and it's many restaurants and activities. A short drive and you're in Mount Dora, Eustis, Leesburg and The Villages. We're aprox. an hour drive to all the Orlando attractions and Daytona Beach.
