Amazing apartment with a caveat
For 3 single people this apartment was amazing. I think really its two apartments in one so we had a huge amount of space. It’s basically the entire top floor with a huge terrace and a balcony on the other side giving you amazing views of Barcelona, Badalona and the surrounding hills. the kitchen and dining area are perfect and the three bedrooms are spacious and very pleasant. An extra friend of ours decided last minute to come and join us and the host kindly didn’t have a problem with us doing this but made it quite clear that he wasn’t to sleep on the couch. There was some form of camp bed cushion in the wardrobe which he used on the lounge floor but it wasn’t great, that’s why I say its good for three people but not four. The Wi-Fi’s good and it even has an electric massage chair which was nice after a days cycling around the city.
The only reason this doesn’t get 5 stars is that upon arrival we were confronted by a note on the door informing us of cctv cameras inside the apartment. This wasn’t declared beforehand and had it been we might have found somewhere else as we did not like the idea of being watched. There were two, one in the entrance hall and one in the lounge/dining area and at night there was a light on them letting us know that they were recording. My mate sleeping in the lounge was a bit put off by this, understandably. I can appreciate that with such a nice apartment you want to protect yourself against bad tenants but cameras are a bit extreme.
