Very High Quality Villa with Everything for a Relaxing and Very Enjoyable Family Holiday
Our first impression was 'Wow, the place is wonderful!' - the photos honestly don't do justice to the quality and space of the villa. Everything is just perfect and beyond our expectations.
We arrived late at night after a delayed flight but were warmly met on arrival and shown around the villa, how to use the air conditioning, the multitude of kitchen equipment, the large screen satellite TVs and to our daughters' delight the WIFI codes. The warmth and friendliness of the arrival made us instantly feel welcome and relaxed.
The two accommodation areas are completely separate with no internal joining door so is ideal for giving teenagers a sense of freedom or for accommodating extended family (such as grand parents). The overall feel of quality and attention to detail extends across both accommodation areas and to the outside areas. Indeed, there are several 'before and after' photos of the farmhouse in the living room showing the transformation which is quite remarkable and affirms the love and care that has gone into the property.
A car is essential to get anywhere from the villa, although we did walk the 2km to Silves on a couple of occasions - whilst not difficult, does involving walking along a main road and a dirt track. Silves is an historic town and definitely worth a visit, as well as having a couple of supermarkets that sell everything you could need. A wide variety of fantastic beaches are a mere 20 minutes drive away. Our personal favourites are Carvalho (for a bit of cliff jumping) and Father Vincente (a lovely quiet beach but not easily accessible).
We look forward to seeing the gardens and trees mature at 'Quinta dos Sapos' over the coming years as we will definitely be visiting again.
Thank you Isabel, Debora and family for creating a piece of heaven in the Portuguese countryside.
Love, Martyn, Anne, Cerys & Hannah
