Triscombe & the Quantocks Triscombe is a small hamlet nestled at the foot of the Quantock Hills with a few cottages, a tearoom, plant nursery and a pub right opposite our farm. The Quantock Hills with deep wooded valleys, open heathland and rich flora and fauna are ideal for walking, cycling and horse riding. Several paths start from our farm. From the barns themselves and the top of the hills you can enjoy amazing views of the Bristol Channel, Wales, the Mendip Hills and Exmoor. Your welcome pack will include a long list of things to do: steam train, beach, fossil hunt, tea room, kids farm, castle visit, pubs, brewery, gardens....
Triscombe Barns Our Victorian barns are Grade II listed, based on their architecture and specifically their symmetry. Cattle used to be housed in what is now the Cows Barn and you can guess what the Hay Barn was used for. Above the tackroom, the stable groom kept himself warm by the fireplace which is still present in the Grooms Studio. Brick and stone detailing around windows and doors show the age of the stable block. The tack room has its original saddle mounts and oak stables are in keeping with the traditional style. Hay is now stored in what used to be the coach house.
