About this property

Built in the traditional Alentejo style this cottage is everything one could want for a truly quiet and relaxing break away from the crowds to be at one with nature. But it still has all mod cons (except for a dishwasher), and a beautiful pool exclusively for the use of those who rent it, with amazing panoramic views. You won't find a more peaceful getaway than this, yet its only a ten minute walk to the nwaearest village and a ten minute drive to a well stocked supermarket. If you do feel the need for the beach, the unspoilt west coast beaches are less than an hours drive away.

A word of warning:-
This is a country house set in the fields and is only accessible along a bumpy rough farm track 1km in length. If you are worried about your car please do not book this property.

Peaceful Paradise

Lovely rustic place very clean Martin the host was waiting for us as arranged for check in. Would recommend this place if you like peace and quiet with amazing views.

Total seclusion!

Lovely villa with amazing views. Larger than expected swimming pool, well appointed villa. Grab your provisions from the supermarket 12km away and use this beautiful villa as a bolt hole for a fabulous rest.

Lovely private location with amazing views over Alentejo countryside.Pool to cool down when the heat got too much.Accomodation exactly as described in listing.Marten always contactable when you have a question.We are looking forward to a return visit.

Property in excellent location

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property, although not the one listed but a 3 bedroom cottage further down the hill from property 6885406, was everything we wanted. Martin the owner explained that due to unforeseen circumstances he'd had to switch the property we stayed in but made sure we were happy with everything and, although never imposing on our privacy, was nearby should we need anything. Set in an excellent location with fantastic views all around, the cottage had all the facilities we could need including a private pool, en-suite bedrooms, spacious kitchen and comfortable living area, outside seating and BBQ. The nearby town Ourique is a lovely place only a 10 minute drive away with a good supermarket, cafes, fuel etc. Highly recommended.

Lovely

Brilliant. Lovely, secluded villa with beautiful views. Well equipped with everything you're likely to need. Bit too cold for the pool in January, but do-able if you're brave enough. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.
