A lovely stay in a delightful part of Marseille
Very comfortable with all amenities. The owner, before our visit, and the housekeeper, before and during our visit, were very helpful and provided all the advice we needed

Great apartment - poor communication
The property is in a beautiful area of the Panier District. The area is full of cafes and restaurants and is typically French and very quaint. It's close to the harbour with a nice walk down. The apartment has 2 bedrooms, both double/twin with ensuite and then a sofa bed in the living room. It has everything you need in the kitchen to be able to eat in. We particularly liked the terrace with a big table where we always sat to eat with a beautiful view down the streets of the district. I give the apartment 3 stars because of the issues from homeaway, the property owner, and the key holder. We arrived at our arranged time to be left outside with no contact details worrying where the key holder was for 30 minutes. When we were let in we were told that we needed to pay a deposit on the property that we would be given back at the end. We had already paid the full price and a large deposit through homeaway. We explained this and was told that we had only paid the cost of the apartment and that they needed the extra deposit. We phoned homeaway to ask what to do and they washed their hands of the rental agreement. We spent time going through old emails for proof of the original agreement that we then sent to the owner. They agreed the following day that if we paid the second deposit they would return both deposits in cash at the end. We did so to avoid anymore issues so we could start our holiday. The mistake was recognised and the money was returned the following day. The final day was our main issue and the reason for this review. We were told we could pay for a cleaner or clean the apartment ourselves. There were 5 of us so thought we'd do it ourselves. When we arrived the cleanliness of the apartment was ok. It had not had a good clean, but didn't expect anything else for the price. The key holder explained that the last tenants had only left a few hours previously and that she didn't have time to clean all the sheets/towels. The washing machine was still running and washing on the line. We brought these in for the key holder and had to make our own beds as she had not had time to do so. We were ok with this until the final day. The key holder arrived to a much cleaner apartment to when we arrived and told us that the cupboards has streaks and the pots needed putting away. She said it would take 4 hours to clean after our stay and cost more than the original cleaning fee. She took this out of our deposit. These issues tainted our overall lovely holiday.

Super accueil de la dame qui gère le lieu, l appartement mérite un vrai coup de rafraîchissement ... terrasse peu/ pas utilisée car toile d ombrage inutilisable ( sangles explosées a note arrivée). Toutes les commodités nécessaires au séjour

Superbe emplacement mais appartement mediocre !
Le quartier est vraiment sympa à decouvrir mais l'appartement ne doit pas être reloué tant que certains points de sécurité soient corrigés. Securite: - La porte de la Baie-vittré ouvrant sur la terrasse ne peut pas etre fermée; la serrure cassée ou vandalisée reste en l'état. - Multi prise bricolée doit être jetée et remplacée - Le fil électrique du fer à repasser 'dénudé' avec le risque d'électrocution. Désagrément : - 2 sur 4 luminaires plafonnier sont grillées; point déjà signalé par le précédant locataire au mois de Décembre. - lampe grillée dans la toilette en bas (déjà signalé par le locataire au mois de Décembre. L'appartement vieillissant a vraiment besoin de maintenance et de renouvellement de l'équipement au niveau de la cuisine. (Conditions sanitaires pas respectées, le frigidaire et la poubelle pas nettoyés, avec de la mauvaise odeur) Effectivement ce que fonctionnent correctementsont L'eau chaude, chauffage, four, four micro-ondes, lave-vaisselle. Nous attendons un geste financier pour le désagrément subi comme la location ne correspondait pas au descriptif sur votre site. AK

Appartement original, lumineux et très bien situé
Nous avons apprécié la situation en plein cœur du quartier du panier et le côté atypique du duplex. L'appartement est très agréable et fonctionnel. Un bémol en revanche sur le mobilier, un canapé 2 poufs et 4 chaises en tout et pour tout dans une location avec un séjour, 2 chambres pour 4 à 6 personnes!!! Une mezzanine sans assise, sans un seul meuble non plus alors que l'endroit se prête pourtant à la lecture. On reviendrait volontiers si cet effort était fait. Un peu de déco serait également la bienvenue surtout dans un quartier qui regorge d'artistes en tous genres.
