A relaxing country retreat

  • 5 of 5

Rock Cottage was a great place for us (3 couples) to get together for a relaxed long weekend. Very handy for walks along Offa's Dyke and around Lancaut by the winding Wye. Comfortable and welcoming.

There's also a fantastic butcher just down the road in Tutshill - G&P Roser. Delicious homemade pies, local cheese and more.

Relaxing weekend break with friends

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cottage. Perfect for couples and friends. Great views. We spent time in the games room catching up, playing pool and listening to music. Managed to walk to Chepstow despite getting a bit lost! Perfect for walkers and cyclists

A gem along the Wye

  • 5 of 5

Our two families had a lovely 6-day stay at BroadRock Cottage for nearly a week. The house is tastefully furnished with modern amenities and fixtures, and its layout allowed everyone to have their own space. It is perfectly located along the Offa's Dyke path, perfect for walkers. It's also just up the road from JK Rowling's hometown of Tutshill, which has a jewel box café and wonderful butcher. The lovely outdoor area in the back was perfect for sunny breakfasts overlooking the valley. Richard was a wonderful host and a great example of Welsh hospitality. A perfect holiday!

Home from Home!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay @ Broadrock, the owner is providing a superb large 3 bedroom home with excellent, well appointed, modern facilities.

A wonderful relaxing house to return after a long day exploring the wonderful Wye Valley and surrounding area.

He was always available to check we had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as home, we were not disappointed!

Our grandchildren particularly liked the games room with pool table which kept them occupied !

We recommend to everyone wanting a relaxing break in a wonderful area.

Excellent, a lux home from home

  • 5 of 5

We hired BroadRock for a weekend retreat space and we loved it as did our guests! It has a lovely luxury feel but with all of the comforts of home. We loved the location, very easily accessible and surrounded by beautiful nature. We can't wait to return later in the year.

Large, quality property

  • 4 of 5

Two cottages have been combined to create a very spacious house on 3 levels. Each of the three bedrooms has its own ensuite and are quite private (with lockable door), and there are two separate games/meeting rooms (one with small pool table) and a huge kitchen. There is also an outside terrace and garden area that we didn't really use but I'm sure would be lovely during the summer months. The house was very clean and well maintained, with quality finishes and facilities, and we felt very welcome by Richard on arrival. An ideal place to stay with either a large family or a group of friends. The location was in a small village, about a 25 minute walk from Chepstow. The only downside was the lack of a local pub or restaurant in the village (so you will need your own transport). There are also quite a lot of stairs in the property so not ideal for toddlers or anyone with walking difficulties. Overall a great place to stay.
