Perfectly located on the hill of the famous village of Passy (XVI arrondissement), just steps away from the Eiffel Tower, the Trocadero and its esplanade and the river Seine, this 2 bedroom & 2,5 bathroom apartment is a dream destination to discover Paris’ best attractions. The Passy areas also has been the iconic setting of well-known international hit movies such as ‘The Last tango in Paris’ and the more recent ‘Inception’ as well as providing a perfect backdrop for amateurs and professional photographers.

This exclusive area has always been synonymous for celebrities and was the home of Benjamin Franklin, Rossini, the Vanderbilt Family, the French writer Balzac, the composer Debussy and many traditional French families, attracted by its wonderful architecture and its village atmosphere.

Our large 1240 sq. feet (115 sq. meters) apartment, located in a classic XIX century Haussmann stone building offers generously proportioned rooms, oak parquet floors, high ceilings and wide windows in a safe surrounding. The apartment was entirely renovated in 2015 and is stylishly decorated with a refined colour scheme and a mix of traditional Parisian furnitures and modern amenities.

The flat can accommodate 4 residents : The ample master bedroom offers a US queen size bed (60 in × 80 in 152 cm × 203 cm) and a private « boudoir » in a warm atmosphere. The second bedroom has two twin beds that can be easily converted into a single queen size bed.

The living area is a wonderful and a quiet place to relax with its sofa facing the antic fireplace and its extensive view over the famous Rue de Passy.

The kitchen is fully equipped and offers an additional dining area for breakfast and quick meals.

Two bathrooms (a first spacious one with a combined shower / bathtub, complemented by a second modern shower room) complete this refined atmosphere to offer you an infinitely pleasing home away from home.

The flat offers all modern facilities, including :

- Washer / dryer

- Washing machine

- Large fridge and freezer

- Espresso coffee machine

- Internet access

- TV with cable

The Passy area takes its name from the former Passy village and its lively and famous 'Rue de Passy' (across the street from the apartment). In Rue de Passy, you will find many fashion shops, food shops, groceries stores, restaurants and cafés. In addition, there are also two open ‘farmers markets’ nearby : The first, in Rue de Passy and the second one Avenue du Président Wilson, which is well known for being the best open market in Paris.

The flat is a 5 minute walk to the amazing Place du Trocadero, with its gardens, cafés and museums (Musée de l’ Architecture, Musée de l' Homme, Musee de la Marine) where you will enjoy the most beautiful views on the Eiffel Tower.

The Metro, just down the street offers direct or rapid access to the fabulous Champs Elysees, the artistic Saint Germain des Pres 6th arrondissement, the historic unmissable Louvre museum, the grandiose Invalides and Château de Versailles.

A mere stone’s throw away from the apartment, you can easily walk onto the Seine river bank or cross the river under the Bir-Hakeim bridge which has always been a hot spot for art photographers. Half way to the left river bank, you will discover the French Statue of Liberty on the small green Cygnes Island which also may offer you a perfect jogging space.

Whether travelling with family or friends, the location of our property is the best in Paris. The owners will be pleased to personally welcome you and will remain available all along your stay providing you with their favourite addresses for restaurants, cafés and shopping places in the nearby area.

Wonderful Stay in Paris

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful stay in Madeline's apartment, where we spent several weeks. The apartment is lovely and very well equipped. Passy is a charming area and the metro is only steps away. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Our hostess, Madeline couldn't have been kinder, more attentive or more generous. Thank you Madeline for a fabulous stay!

Beautiful apartment in a beautiful neighborhood

The apartment was just lovely--beautifully and tastefully decorated. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated with all the modern amenities. The bedrooms were beautiful with bedding and towels that were unbelievably comfortable--felt like it was a 5-star hotel. The neighborhood is wonderful, only minutes from the Eiffel Tower and has lots of great shopping. It's quiet and authentically French so you really don't feel like a tourist. Madeline was weloming and helpful, providing local recommendations and even a local cell phone to use during our stay. She left us a bottle of wine and some other kitchen necessities making us feel right at home.

An Elegant Apartment

We loved staying in this apartment. The location is most convenient - a very short walk to the metro and plenty of shops very close by. The apartment itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. For the 11 days we were there we felt it was truly our home. The owner, Madeline, is extremely helpful. She has provided booklets with detailed information on how everything in the apartment works as well as advice on where to shop and eat and what to see in the neighborhood. We will definitely try to stay in this apartment the next time we are in Paris.

Comfortable and spacious apartment in a fabulous location

This is one of those apartments in a beautiful old building, complete with a lovely courtyard entrance and tiny elevator taking you up. Once in the apartment, we found a very clean and tastefully furnished apartment, with so much space that I kept getting lost at first! The beds were extremely comfortable with beautiful quality linen and the main bathrooms and kitchen were obviously very recently renovated and therefore a pleasure to use! Hopefully the broken shower screen in the second bathroom and the broken sliding door between the master bedroom and the living room are fixed by now, because they were a bit of an inconvenience. But the thing we really loved was the apartment's location - a 1 minute walk to the Passy metro station and just about on the Rue Passy, our now favourite street in Paris thanks to its interesting shops and eating places.

Highly Recommend this Gorgeous Apartment

We did not want to leave this beautiful place!!! We were 2 couples traveling together and this was our favorite accommodation of the trip. The apartment has so much space and room to hang out, but also privacy. The décor is so chic. Location was perfect for us with a metro just steps away, and we loved the neighborhood! We shopped for groceries, ate at the nearby restaurants, even went for late-night Chinese! So much fun. Our stay was made extra special by our host Madeline who was beyond accommodating and helpful! She provided so much extra information that made our time in Paris worry free. Thank you again Madeline!!! We hope to return! We highly recommend staying here!

Outstanding property in a great location

The property was renovated completely early last year before entering into the rental pool in June 2015. We stayed in the property in September 2016 and it is in pristine condition. It is a very large apartment and extremely comfortable. The location is near the market as well as indoor market, as well as fantastic restaurants such as Le Scheffer (if you are after an authentic French bistro without the price tag and excellent quality food). Madeleine is a very generous host, who organised some basic food provisions after flying 24 hours from Australia. She takes incredible pride in this apartment as it was her grand parents. All she asks is that you care for the property like you would your own home, respecting her family property but ensuring enjoyment for travellers in the future. Her pricing is competitive. You can stay in the 7th arrondissment in a one bedroom property for half the size, or stay in a totally renovated 2 bedroom/2 bathroom property for the same price in the 16th being this property. The Passy metro is a 2 min walk down the street, the RER across the bridge (10 min walk) which takes you directly to Versailles. There is the 72 bus at the end of the street that take you directly to Musee d'Orsay and the Louvre. And the Eiffel Tower views without tourists at the end of the street. If you are wanting to immerse yourself with local Parisiens away from tourists, desire space and exceptional comfort, as well as a very competitive price, then look no further, this is the property for you. I highly recommend this property because of price, location and comfort and when we are back in Paris, this will be where we will stay again.
