Modern, well sited apartment

The apartment was comfortable and convenient for town, beach, or countryside. This was important as the weather was variable and the location meant we could choose what to do, shop, laze, walk, according to the weather at short notice.

A peaceful quality holiday stay

The property is fully equipped with everything you need. Waking up to the sun in the morning on the main patio, we spent a lot of time just relaxing and taking in the view. The resort is a little on the quiet side but it suited us as we are very familiar with the area around Lagos and it gave us a good base to travel from.

Just one suggestion would be for a slightly larger umbrella on the patio.

All in all a very good 2 week's holiday.

Comfortable, newer condo in quiet area in Lagos

Our condo was beautiful and seemed like brand new. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked, a lovely pool nearly all to ourselves, and a great ocean view. We never walked to the beach, it was down the hill, but we drove around the corner and had no problem finding parking. The ocean isn't as close to the unit as the picture shows, but that's ok because there are SO MANY AWESOME beaches just minutes away. The square and marina are minutes away, and the condo is in a quiet and very safe neighborhood. The Algarve is amazing. Praia Dona Ana was wonderful, we drove to Benegil to go on a cave tour with Captain Fernando (from Trip Advisor), and that trip was unbelievable. We were off to Spain after a week in Portugal, but I must say, we were so sad to leave. Everyone speaks English, the supermarkets were fantastic and food/wine very inexpensive. Portugal/The Algarve is one of the most beautiful places we've been in the world...and we are very well traveled. The only negatives: The complex is not walking distance to town, so if you like to be in the middle of the action, it is no. We enjoyed the privacy though. There was no binder showing recommendations for the best beaches, tours, restaurants, etc. And there were no maps, not even the rental car company had maps for us. It would have been nice to have a little more information provided. All in all, we did love the condo, the pool and The Algarve very much!

Amazing, don't miss this

John was most helpful with arrangements prior to leaving Canada. His recommendation to rent a car from Luzcar in Lagos was most helpful.

Barbara met us at the apartment and was so warm and inviting. She was most helpful in making sure our stay was the best.

The apartment was better than expected. Very close to the beach. From the beach you can walk the trails east and west along the cliff edge, above the beaches along the ocean. So so beautiful. We had dinner at both restaurants at the beach. But actually preferred the Campimar Restaurant. The food was excellent and we liked the relaxed atmosphere. Definitely recommend this. I recommend having a gps unit if you plan on driving. We brought ours from Canada that had Portugal maps downloaded. We landed in Lisbon, stayed two nights and took hi speed train to Tunes, then local train to Lagos. We called Luzcar and they picked us up with our prebooked car rental at the train station.

We never were able to operate the air conditioning in the apartment.. I'm sure they worked, we just couldn't figure how. As the nights were cooler with a great gentle breeze from the ocean, we did not feel the need to contact Barbara.there is so much to see and do in this area. I think most of the great beaches and cliffs with grottoes you see in the Algarve travel brochures are of the Lagos area. All within 10 minutes drive. This seemed to be the ideal location to experience the Algarve. I must not forget our stop at the outdoor cafe called Hamburgueria Snack Bar. The food is great. My wife had a veggie burger, that seemed to take a little long. Turns out, our waitress was the daughter of the cook, and she explained that her mom made them from scratch.. My wife said it was amazing. I got a picture of my wife and our friend with the mother and daughter in the kitchen. Visit this spot in old downtown near marina. We drove to Sagres, visited the fortress, worth seeing. Then to Vincentian light house, we were disappointed.we then found a restaurant at 5:00 o'clock. But it did not upen until 6:00. We waited around and had a drink at bar close by. We went back to the restaurant called D' Italia restaurant. Great food and the staff were amazing. Our waitress, Alexandra brought a shot of Port each, on the house. We even got to take a picture with her and the four of us.. if you are in Sagres, stop here, looks out over the ocean and cliffs. I could go on forever, we just did not want to leave out apartment and Lagos.

Perfect Stay

All the organisation around the booking went really smoothly and our damages deposit was returned in full about a week after our return. My wife and I stayed here for 1 week and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. I would recommend without hesitation.

The apartment is nicely situated in mature grounds about 5 mins walk from the beach. There are great views from the front balcony and you can hear the waves breaking on the beach.

We found the apartment spotlessly clean and well equipped - great kitchen with everything working flawlessly, the 2 shower rooms are well finished and there is a huge double shower in the main shower room, the main bedroom is very bright and airy with a huge bigger than king size bed. Internet in the apartment was good and continuously available - I got 8Mbs which was more than sufficient. The Pioneer TV in the lounge has a media box that allows you to stream uk tv and there is a DVD player too.

The front balcony gets sun from first thing to about 3pm, you can then use the rear balcony off the kitchen for evening sun. There is no sea view from the rear - just a view of another apartment block in its final finishing (painting)stages - so no noise whatsoever.

There is aircon/heating throughout but we didn't need to use it - there is also a small top level terrace where you can dry clothes but there are no sun beds. The grounds are very pleasant but the pool is a bit cool in April to be enjoyable. There is off road secure parking through an electric sliding gate - but I think you could safely leave your car in the parking bay outside.

Porto de Mos is a great base for exploring the western Algarve - its quiet and has a nice upmarket vibe - there are great cliff walks to Praia da Luz and Ponte de Piedade. I would absolutely recommend having a car to make the most of this area though - lots more restaurants to discover than the 2 on the beach 5 mins away.

sehr schöne, ruhige Lage mit Blick auf die Bucht, Weg zum Strand und den beiden Restaurants 5 Minuten.

Die Wohnung ist sehr gut und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, was man ergänzen könnte, wären Polster für die Terrassenstühle.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
