Lowrigg is a stunning, detached country home in the Northumbrian village of Stocksfield. The property is secluded; in an end-of-lane location, nestled in extensive grounds for you to enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful area. This holiday home is perfect for groups of friends or large families and is great for celebrating a special occasion, or just getting everyone together under one roof!

Guests will enjoy the space and light in this well presented property, with 3 double bedrooms (1 en-suite), family bathroom and cloakroom. There is a cosy lounge with open fire, spacious dining room with sofa bed, large, fully equipped country kitchen and conservatory with doors opening out to the large gardens.

All rooms have garden views; looking out onto the extensive, mature grounds. Please note that the gardens are not fully enclosed.

There is plenty of space for storing bikes or golf clubs and well behaved dogs are welcome at a small supplement.

Included in the rental is gas central heating, initial fuel for the fire, electricity, bed linen and towels.

Outside of the cottage, there are excellent, friendly pubs within walking distance and a multi award winning pub / restaurant, The Feathers Inn, just over 2 miles away (9 year winner of the Good Food Guide County Dining Pub of the Year!) Broomley Woods are just on your doorstep, fantastic for family walks - with or without a dog!

(The garage, utility room, office and 2 further bedrooms are unavailable to guests but will be unoccupied during your stay.)

Lowrigg is in a quiet village location, but just a twenty minute drive from Newcastle upon Tyne. There is a bus stop just a few minutes walk from the property, and Stocksfield train station is one mile away. The historic market towns of Corbridge and Hexham are just a few miles away, with fantastic shopping, quaint tea rooms, arts and culture and bars and restaurants. This is the heart of Hadrian’s Wall Country, with a raft of visitor attractions to enjoy including Corstopitum, Vindolanda and Housesteads Roman Fort. For sports enthusiasts, you can enjoy fishing, prestigious golf courses, walking trails and fantastic cycling nearby. Kielder Forest Park lies 30 miles to the north, with fantastic walking and sports activities along with the darkest night skies in England.The vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne, with its shopping and cultural facilities, not to mention fantastic food and drink options, is within easy reach. The stunningly beautiful, and relatively unexplored, Northumbrian coast, with its castles and picturesque harbours is easily accessible from Lowrigg. This is a great base to explore this fascinating and beautiful part of Northumberland.
