About the property

Wonderful Victorian townhouse situated on one of Kendal's oldest streets. Although the house is very conveniently situated being only a 5 minute walk into town it is also a very quiet location, yet minutes away you can find yourself at the highly acclaimed Brewery Arts Centre not to mention the rest of Kendal which has a fantastic array of unique cafes, bars, restaurants and shops.

The house has been recently been refurbished and is very cosy and comfortable.

The modern kitchen has an oven, dishwasher, fridge, a microwave and seating area, it is very well equipped with everything you will hopefully need.

There is a cosy homely living room with a Log burner ( Gas effect) TV / DVD player and Freesat.

There are three bedrooms :

Bedroom 1 : is a large light airy attic room which has a King size bed and TV, there is a dressing table and clothes hanging spaces in the eaves wardrobes. The room has a velux window with views over the rooftops to the nearby fells.

Bedroom 2 : has a double bed and chest of drawers.

Bedroom 3 : has a single bed and chest of drawers.

The shared bathroom has a bath with a powerful shower over it.

All heating, linen bath towels and tea towels are included.

There is a travel cot and a highchair available as families are welcome.

There are useful maps, guidebooks and information to help you plan your days out which you are welcome to use.

Outside the rear garden is south facing so lovely and sunny. There is a bench and also chairs and a table and a barbecue available.

Adjoining the rear garden is a large secure storage area which has an additional fridge freezer in it, it is ideal for storing bikes or anything else.

There is am adult sized bike you are welcome to use.

One pet is welcome (additional charge)but please note pets are not allowed upstairs or on the sofas.

There is no parking directly outside the house however there is a visitors parking permit to use for parking on the lane or around the streets at the top of it.

The nearest bus stop serving the Lake District (via the 555 bus route) is at the bottom of the lane on the high street a 2 minute walk away. Kendal train station is a 15 minute walk away from where you can get to Oxenholme (5mins) or travel to Windermere only 8 miles away.

Within a short walk you can find lovely walks whether it be to Serpentine Woods or Kendal Castle and the Riverside walk.

Guests Access there is a key safe however I only live 5 minutes away so I am more than happy to pop round and deal with queries

Guests have the house to themselves.

Other things to note this is a really friendly neighbourhood with some lovely neighbours so I ask you to respect their privacy

Victorian Town House Kendal
average rating of 4.5 based on 2 reviews

Excellent accommodation in the heart of Kendal.

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for three nights between Christmas and New Year. The house is very neat and tidy, and also warm. A very comfortable place to stay. And very handy for the centre of Kendal, as the shops are only five minutes walk. The only downside is the lack of parking.

Cosy and welcoming home from home

  • 5 of 5

A lovely, well-equipped house, in a brilliant location for cafes, shops and cinema. Everything you could want for a few days of relaxation on the edge of the Lake District.
