About the property

Beautiful location, close to a lake, nearby beach and 2 pools to choose from

This 3 bedroomed townhouse is situated in the highly sought after area of Lakeside Village. Perfect for families and golfers alike, the property shares a pool with a small number of other villas as well as access to a larger pool with terrace bar. Private tennis courts are on site.

We can arrange for cots if required with our management company and they can also arrange anything from airport transfers, taxis, babysitters - even shopping!

The southern end of the lake is less than a 10 minute walk and offers watersports such as SUP and dinghy sailing, there is a children's water play area plus an "A la Carte" restaurant and great beach bar with live music 2 nights a week. The beach is a further 5 minutes walk.

There are so many World Class golf courses nearby (a 5/10 minute drive) including Quinta South and Quinta North, Laranjal, Vale do Lobo etc.

About Sean Curtis

We made our first visit to Lakeside, Quinta do Lago in 2008, and instantly loved it! It was the most relaxing holiday we had ever had; fabulous weather, happy children who practically grew fins due to the hours they spent in the pool, and happy adults, who were able to totally unwind in this beautiful, tranquil setting. We knew instantly that our dream would be to own a property there, and finally this year,, our dream has come true!

We are delighted to be able to share the property with others who we know will fall in love with Portugal as we have, and will want to return again and again.

Why Sean Curtis chose Quinta do Lago

We loved this property from the moment we found it. It's bright and spacious, with 3 excellent sized bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a large lounge diner. The separate kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and washing machine to make life easy! It benefits from access to two swimming pools, as well as the private tennis courts owned by the Condominium. The larger pool has a poolside bar where you can purchase snacks, drinks and light meals. A 10 minute walk takes you to the other end of the lake where there is a Watersports centre and great restaurants. Our favourite bar, The Shack is ideally positioned for when the sun sets on another stunning day. A round of Mojitos whilst the children have fun on a SUP makes a perfect evening!

What makes this house unique

Our villa is only 15/20 minutes drive from the airport which makes it perfect for any family who dread long transfers. It really makes such a difference, to know that when you land at Faro, you really are minutes away from jumping in that pool!

If you can drag yourself away from the swimming pool, there are plenty of other things to do and see.

Quinta do Lago is positioned on the edge of the Rio Formosa Natural Park, so there are plenty of stunning walks close to the villa. In addition, there is the beautiful Quinta do Lago beach, a dazzling stretch of white sand backed by sand dunes, and accessible by the picturesque wooden bridge over the tidal lagoon. The beach has been awarded the European blue flag for water quality, environmental management and safety, and there is a permanent lifeguard available during the summer months.

In addition there are so many wonderful Portuguese towns and villages to visit, from Loule and its thriving market, Tavira with its twisted streets filled with restaurants and tiny shops, to the exclusive marina at Vilamoura; there really is so much to see and do.

Lovely house great location.

We stayed here with our two children and had a great time the house is in a great location by the lake which is brilliant for the children. The house is very clean and well kept we even had a few nights in for a BBQ or a take away. So handy that there is already a travel cot and highchair, dvds and kids books etc. We would definatly rent the house again when we return to Quinta do lago.

Lovely and quiet house in a beautiful location

The house was well equipped and comfortable. The pool was quiet and accessible from the rear garden. The nearby tennis courts were also a hit for us. I would recommend the nearby golf and for food and drink the Shack is a good choice. Also the nearby water sports on the lake are excellent.

A relaxing stay, great little find.

Thank you for a super time. The villa was spot on, just what we needed with all of the little extras thoughtfully provided. The rooms were spacious and well maintained and decorated to a high standard, not sure why there is a life size picture of a zebras backside on the wall but we used it as a guide to check our own against!

The surrounding gardens and pools were immaculate, plenty of space around the pool, loads of sun loungers, great for us as we love the peace and quiet.

Would definitely recommend it and will try to return as soon as we can.
