This lovely 3 Bedroom 2 Bathroom townhouse has been newly furnished (October 2016) and is in a superb location to enjoy the very best of the village-like Chelsea, South Kensington and Knightsbridge, as well as the rest of central London. Moments from King's Road shops, stores and coffee shops it is 2 minutes’ walk from the Saatchi Gallery – home of much of the best contemporary art in London - and 4 minutes’ walk from Sloane Square tube station.

Your Chelsea townhouse is a Georgian house in a short terrace located in a quiet street and retains much of its historic charm whilst being newly furnished with very comfortable contemporary furniture in October 2016. The kitchen was recently completely refurbished and is right up to date with all of the facilities you would expect. Very spacious at 118 square meters / 1270 square feet, your townhouse is quietly located but very close indeed to the famous clothes high end fashion stores, boutiques, restaurants and Peter Jones department store on King’s Road. 4 minutes' walk from Sloane Square station for access to other parts of central London, it is also a short walk to of the Royal Hospital Chelsea (home of Chelsea Pensioners and the Chelsea Flower Show) and 2 minutes’ from the Saatchi Gallery – a superb gallery of contemporary art in central London.

South Kensington is in walking distance up Sloane Avenue with several world famous brands on this route, including Chanel and Stella McCartney as well as The Conran Shop. This route also puts you in walking distance of from some of London’s main museums – Natural History Museum, Science Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum. London’s main sights – Buckingham Palace, Westminster, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Covent Garden, London’s theatres, the Tower of London and much more are easily accessed quickly and direct from either Sloane Square or South Kensington tube stations – both a short walk from your apartment.

Your comfortable townhouse has wooden flooring throughout the very spacious Ground Floor Lounge with a flat screen TV, Freeview channels as well as Free WiFi and Broadband (internet from 19th October 2016). The Lounge has a large, ‘L’ shape sofa and armchair in front of a lovely fireplace with a working gas fire. The staircase leads up one floor to the Master Bedroom and ensuite bathroom whilst a few steps down lead to the Second Bedroom and several more lead to the Lower Ground Floor kitchen and dining area. The recently added (April 2017) Third Bedroom is close to the Master Bedroom. Windows at both ends of the Lounge make this a bright and lively area. The rear facing window overlooks the private garden.

The Master Bedroom has a Queen size Double Bed and built-in wardrobe with plenty of hanging and drawer space for any length of stay. The Master Bedroom is carpeted and 2 large windows make this very bright during the day. The unusually large ensuite bathroom has a bath tub and a separate shower cubicle as well as toilet and wash-hand basin. Free toiletries are provided in both of the bathrooms.

The Second Bedroom also has a Double Bed and built-in wardrobe space. The second bathroom is downstairs, through the kitchen and dining area.

The Third Bedroom is adjacent to the Master Bedroom and shares that bathroom. It has a Double bed.

A high quality airbed can be provided for a 7th guest by arrangement free of charge and can be placed in the Master Bedroom, Lounge or dining area, as you prefer.

The chic, modern kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances and cupboards including gas hob, double oven, microwave, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and kettle along with all the crockery, cutlery, glass, cooking utensils, pans and more that you will need during your stay. There is a washing machine and separate dryer in a cupboard in the second bathroom and iron and ironing board are provided.

The immediate area of your townhouse has numerous shops, restaurants and coffee shops. There is a choice of supermarkets within a few minutes’ walk including a Marks & Spencer Food Hall. If you decide to go out to eat, you will find yourself spoilt for choice from the wide range of restaurants close by in King’s Road, Sloane Square and in South Kensington. There is a lovely coffee shop and patisserie - ca'uppuchino - just down King’s Road at Markham Square serving great coffees and teas, some wonderful juice shakes and a great range of pastries and more. Across King's Road, is from ca'uppuchino is reportedly the best ice cream shop in London.

Your townhouse is situated for you to get the best out of the elegant small town atmosphere of Chelsea, which is still alive and well. This is a place of elegant Georgian terraces, red brick Victorian buildings, tucked away pubs and shops. As you step out of or walk to your townhouse you can picture Jane Austen’s contemporaries gathering for the London season. Down many side streets, you will find lovely mews houses and large garden squares, giving the whole neighbourhood the feel of a small town. Despite this, you are just 4 minutes' walk from Sloane Square station, giving you easy access to the rest of central London. South Kensington, with an even greater choice of restaurants and most of London's main museums, is within easy walking distance up Sloane Avenue.

The closest tube station is Sloane Square (4 minutes' walk) for the District and Circle Lines. You can also go to South Kensington (10 minutes' walk) where you will find the Piccadilly, District and Circle Lines.

In addition, several bus routes pass up and down King's Road, very close to your townhouse.

Great location, Service and Property Need Work

The property is a little townhouse right off of Sloane Square. Couldn't ask for a better location--shops, cafes, restaurants, Saatchi Gallery...All excellent. Also, the check in process was quite smooth despite a changing schedule on my side. Also, the return of the deposit was made without fuss and quickly.

What wasn't good is that the internet didn't work at all during my stay, which meant I had to go out and buy an internet device of my own. The TV didn't work on the first day, so that required a visit from a technician. I thought there was no cutlery because it had all been left in the dishwasher from a previous tenant. For two bathrooms there was only one roll of toilet paper. There were no towels present the day I arrived, so I had to drip dry and ring for towels. The woman who brought the towels also had a duffel bag of toilet paper but left none. There is no wine opener.

The kitchen appliances are all brand new and in excellent working order. The shower works, the toilet works.

The curtains were ripped in a few places. The property smells very strongly of damp, and there are signs of water damage in both the master bedroom ceiling above the bed and in the corner of the living room--which is also causing the plaster of the ceiling to flake down into the living room.

The management said they had only recently taken this property on to explain the internet problem, so I would consider renting it again because it is fundamentally a good place, but would want to know these issues were resolved first.

Owner's Response: I really appreciate all feedback and we certainly learned from this one, in particular about being better and more fully prepared with a new property we have just added. I regret the shortcomings, although, as I mentioned at the time, the internet problem was not with us but with BT, our provider. I am happy to say that all of these issues have long since been resolved, the internet is very good, all guests since have had ample supplies of everything we provide from the outset and review elsewhere so far are very positive. I do hope that we can welcome this guest back again soon (with the suitable adjustment I have offered her) to show that all is as it should be.
