Arezzo, famous city of art, famous for the masterpiece of Piero della Francesca, Legend of the True Cross, in the Basilica of San Francesco; the Crucifix of Cimabue, in the church of San Domenico; for the Cathedral, an imposing Gothic building overlooking the city; for the church of Santa Maria, one of the most beautiful Romanesque structures in Tuscany; Piazza Vasari, or Piazza Grande, famous throughout the world by Benigni, who shot unforgettable de "Life is Beautiful scenes"; for the remains of the Roman amphitheater; for the Etruscans and that of medieval and modern art museum ... just to mention a few of its many attractions. But one can not even name the Giostra del Saracino, a tournament which takes place twice a year in the picturesque setting of Piazza Grande.

Arezzo is located at the center of four valleys, crossed by three rivers: the Arno (the Casentino and the Valdalrno), the Tiber (Valtiberina) and Chiana (Chiana Valley).

These are four beautiful valleys, rich both in terms of landscape, and artistic.

The Casentino, closed to the west by the chain of Pratomagno, which separates the Valdarno, and east from Alpe chain Catenaia and Verna mountains, which separate it from the Tiber Valley,

It is packed with beautiful Romanesque churches and imposing medieval castles, as well as two beautiful monasteries: Camaldoli and Verna, both immersed in the charm of the National Park of Casentino Forests.

The Tiber is rich in villages to visit: from Monterchi, Anghiari Sansepolcro, where there are important works of Piero della Francesca, who was born here.... And there are many protected areas, to be covered on foot or by bike or on horseback.

The Val di Chiana is a vast plain, an old granary time of the Etruscans, where towering Cortona, its most famous center, but also Castiglione Fiorentino, Monte San Savino, Foiano, Lucignano Gargonza ...

The Valadarno northeast is dominated by the massif of Pratomagno, where over thousands of years the waters have carved singular ravines and gullies, known as flounces and southwest from the simple Chianti Mountains. It can be visited by following the Via dei Sette Ponti, the ancient Via Cassia, which allows you to visit interesting stone villages and ancient Romanesque churches.
