Argo Villa Kalyves - Detached Villa with Private Pool

A lovely family residence in the heart of Kalyves village.
One of the main features of Villa Argo is its location; a stone’s throw from the centre makes you feel part of village life, while being far enough out to still be private and peaceful.
The house is built on two floors with additional mezzanine.
The living room, kitchen, WC and one bedroom with double bed and en suite bathroom are situated on the ground floor.
Upstairs you'll find a double bedroom with king size bed, a family bathroom with walk in shower. A second bedroom with twin beds and it's off this room you'll find the mezzanine.
The mezz has an extra lounge area, with a library of books and games.
It has a bedroom area with 2 single beds and a studio couch . The mezz has proved to be the favourite room for teenagers.
The house was designed to take advantage of its views of the famous White Mountains, which you can enjoy from the comfort of the living room and pool area! From the 1st floor sun terrace you have views of the sea and surrounding area.
The garden is a mixture of olive and fruit trees!
The pool area is a perfect location for relaxing, but for the more energetic who enjoy walking, jogging or cycling, simply turn left out of the gate and you’re already on one of the of many beautiful trails through the countryside!
The family retain retain a small basement annex on the property and are available to assist you with your holiday needs.
The villa has a lsundry room with washing machine.
Villa Argo is suitable for families and couples.
Out of respect for other local residents, young singles groups looking to ‘party’ are advised to seek alternative accommodation.

Wonderful

Had a fantastic 2 week stay in this lovely villa. Every room was very well equipped, more crockery than you could use, plenty of storage space, comfortable beds & good seating areas both inside & out. In fact everything you need for a great holiday. Villa is situated a 7-8 minute walk from the village where there is a good choice of traditional affordable restaurants. Gail is a great host very welcoming & helpful. Thank you for a fantastic holiday would love to return one day

Lovely Villa

Lovely Villa in a good location just a short walk into town and the beach with its many shops, restaurants and tavernas . Gail the owner is so friendly and helpful and we loved staying here .

Lovely modern house with everything you need.

Villa Argo is a lovely modern home with everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Comfy spacious bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and a great pool, all immaculate. The garden is enclosed with good loungers so on hot days we made the most of it. Wonderful view of the mountains. Shops and good restaurants are all within walking distance down the hill in the village. Tours go from there to walk the Samaria Gorge, so we didn’t have to drive all that way. Gail is a great host on hand with advice on places to go, and provided a welcome pack, much appreciated. Most of all we could bring the family dog (who lives in Greece) making our holiday possible. Many thanks.

Fantastic week at Argo Villa with an extended family of 8 in August 2018!

So our family of 5 + my bother-in-laws family of 3 came together for a great week in Kalyves. It was our 1st time in Crete and it is a truly beautiful country with surprisingly high mountains which are a fantastic backdrop to the view from the Villa Argo. I loved seeing both sunrise & sunset out through the doors of the living room across the pool to the 2500m high White Mountains. Looking the other way from the Villa was the view down over the rooftops of Kalyves to the perfectly blue Mediterranean Sea. The Villa was extremely well kitted out with all the equipment we could possibly need, including a great range of pool & beach accessories for guests use, & an extensive selection of books, games & DVDs. The beds were comfortable and the room arrangements worked well for 2 couples + 4 teenagers. At night the moon rose over the far end of the pool & we could enjoy the delights of swimming in the evening with the underwater lights on. There was sun & shade to sit in & a lovely outside eating area with BBQ for those warm Cretan evenings. However, we also found that the local restaurants were good value & the food delicious, especially the local greek salads. We enjoyed using the bus to go both east to Almaryda and west to Chania, as well as Gail helping us to arrange the local taxi company to take us to other locations. The local Kalyves beach is only a 5 minute walk down the hill & was delightful; quiet, sandy, clean. The village was also well served with supermarkets, a bakery, tavernas, restaurants and a few other small shops. The watersports in Almaryda worked out well & we did some stand up paddling boarding ( a bit choppy) and some very fast catamaran sailing. We had a fantastic week & would love to be able to visit again at some point. Thank you Gail & Jason.
