The Plymouth self-catering (2 bedroom) apartment faces south and has a magnificent large lounge with dual aspect floor to ceiling arched Victorian windows with Juliette balconies, allowing the sea view to enter and flood the apartment.

This self-catering apartment has been converted, furnished and decorated to the highest possible standard incorporating original 1860’s period features such as fireplaces, ceiling roses and chandeliers, mouldings, window shutters and high ceilings. With style and elegance a modern designer kitchen, luxury bathroom and entertainment systems have tastefully been installed.

Fabulous Location - Amazing Views

This property is fantastic. It was a great base to explore Devon and Cornwall. The apartment is tastefully furnished and a great place to rest after a full day of sightseeing. It was great to look out over The Hoe and watch the ferry and ships come and go. Very close to The Barbican and supermarket. This place is a must stay if visiting this region. The apartment is well equipped.

absolutely terrible from beginning to end

This apartment has luxury sea views and is perfect for a couple days stay but any longer not recommended. We were booked for 21 days and stayed only 12 and of those 12 days had to contact LSV 8 days with viable problems. 1. Official greeter on 1st night gave us apartment keys but not the door code so went to our vehicle to get our cases and couldn’t get back in. So 1st night and morning spent not in our apartment 2. Load of washing got stuck in washer as unable to open door. Contacted LSV for 3 days with no replies to my messages and eventually after losing my temper a Mtce man arrived, took my laundry out but handle broke so had to order a new part so no washer dryer. 3:Pre-arranged a date and time for cleaner to arrive- left the apartment for the day, came back , no cleaner had been. So yet again contacted LSV. 4. The 1 toilet cistern wouldn’t, fill with water so advised LSV and within a few hours the owner Phil contacted us, could be a big problem so in good faith we could either move us to one of his other apartments in Royal William Yard or he could refund our remaining days and we could go to a recommended hotel. If we wanted to come from Canada and spend days in a hotel, we would have, so we packed up our suitcases and groceries and went to Phil’s other luxury sea view apartment. Previous review of the RWY apartment was spot on with smells from restaurant below rising into apartment, bedroom ceiling so low had to crawl into bed on one side, windows downstairs low to ground so to get your luxury sea view had to almost lay on the floor or couch and also my elderly mom found the stairs to the bedroom very steep narrow and treacherous. E-mailed Phil with regards to financial compensation and his exact words were at the end of his message: can you please let me know which day you are vacating so I can organize the appropriate refund...uuummm we were on holiday from Canada-where did he want us to go even if we were dissatisfied? Then to finish off our trip the same way it started we went out for dinner, came home, and apartment door handle broke so we couldn’t get in. Contacted LSV and after 2 hours the mtce man arrived. Spoke to other residents whilst waiting and they had the same problems with their door handles...

So to conclude, very disappointed with the treatment from LSV and the owner Phil... Would we use or recommend LSV ...NO. Would we rent or recommend any of the owners LSV apartments...NO . Just waiting for our damage deposit now.

Owner's Response: Guests damaged our home on various occasions. Cost in damages by guests nearly three times our damage deposit. Guests broke the washing machine handle and lock by trying to force the door of the washing machine before the washing machine had automatically released the door after the dry cycle. Out of hours call out required by guest for washing. Spares had to be ordered and fitted. Guests caused an airlock in the bathroom water supply by overrunning the water tank once it was empty. Affecting the supply to the bath cold water and toilet. This took extensive fault finding and rectifying. Guests broke the external door handle of the apartment very late at night after a night out. Out of hours call outs and entry to the apartment had to be gained / handle & locks rectified. In our opinion we realised early on during the booking we could not meet the expectations of the guests and offered a refund. This was not accepted. Towards the end of the booking the guest also tried to get extra money and financial compensation. Stating negative comments. Again a refund was offered and was not accepted. In addition a cleaner who helps us out at our apartment received an abusive message on her home telephone number from a man in the booking, just after the guests vacated our apartment. In our opinion we strongly feel that anyone has the right to work and help in an non abusive and safe environment without feeling threatened. Our cleaner was extremely upset and the issue has taken various discussions, meetings and time to consider. In our opinion would we rent to these guests Tracey and Cliff, No. In our opinion would we recommend these guests to other owners who rent there homes, No.
