Thank you for viewing my apartment. My place is situated on the first floor, between the beautiful fishing village of Howth and the magnificent historical village of Malahide, Both places have numerous restaurant's, pubs with great walks and plenty of things to see and do. Directly outside my place is a bus stop which will bring you to the city centre or you can take a short walk along a lovely promenade to the dart (train) station which will also bring you directly to the city. Right beside the accommodation as a friendly, family orientated restaurant/pub. It is also walking distance from many shops and beaches.
Hi my name is Geri i live in howth so I do know quite a lot about the local area. I run a Property Management Company in Dublin and have been in the business for about 10 years now.
Geri purchased this apartment in 2014
This property is situation in a quiet, tranquil location . Where you have access to both world's. There is lots of public transport to the fantastic city of Dublin, or locally yo can enjoy the peace and quiet of sandy beaches and nice walks.
It is also located near sailing, fishing and golfing facilities.
We were a group of 10, myself and nine college students. We found this flat perfect for our needs. It was easy to catch a bus from the airport to a stop right outside the flat. Saved us a ton of money instead of hiring cabs. Geri met us at the door and was extremely helpful, showing us where everything was and making recommendations of places to go and things to see. She even provided a small selection of fresh fruit for the students to enjoy, which they did! Slight problem getting the internet to work when we got there, but Geri stuck around working with the provider until it was fixed, no further problems with it for the rest of our stay. The bedrooms are arranged along a hallway, each with its own bathroom, the kitchen is at the end. This worked perfectly for a group of 10-12 people. Plenty of privacy for a mixed group. The bedrooms were full of beds, but this is why we booked the apartment, we were planning on 10-12 people. Everyone needs a place to sleep! The kitchen was a little small for all of us to gather in together as a group, but it all worked out fine. We didn't travel to Dublin to see an apartment, we just needed a clean, safe place to sleep and clean up and this apartment worked perfectly. The Dart station was about a 10 minute walk along the seafront and was a wonderful view. The students enjoyed the area of Howth and Malahide. The ride into Dublin on the Dart was very convenient. With my group, it was much more relaxing to stay outside the city center. We completely enjoyed our stay and would stay here again with no reservations. Thanks Geri!
This reservation looked nice online and turned out to be so much better in person. Me and 6 friends came into town for St. Patrick's Day weekend, and Geri's place was the perfect location.
- It's right on the water and the views are amazing
- It's a 10-15 minute walk to the local DART (train) station that gets you into Dublin center in less than 20 minutes
- It's right above The White House bar and restaurant which has amazing food and drink (but you can't hear any noise from the below)
- The inside of the house is so much bigger than the pictures you see online and can very comfortably fit large parties
I plan to make this an annual trip and would highly recommend to anyone.
This property is tucked in a smaller city outside of Dublin called Baldoyle. It was very easy to take a train into Dublin and not have to drive a car. The city of Howth is very close, quaint and pretty - definitely worth checking out. Even though this place is located above a restaurant, it was quiet. There were 4 bedrooms and each had their own bathroom! However, the kitchen and living room was the same space. Basically, it was a kitchen with a love seat in it and a television. The area was very safe. There was a small convenience store right next to it but there was a grocery store within walking distance too. Parking was free and spots were always available. The rooms were clean, had good wi-fi and very comfortable beds. Geri was very helpful too! We would actually give this place a 4.5!
Geri's place was perfect for our family. The location is great. It's close to Dublin, yet we could park our car without any problem. The unit was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Geri was so great to work with. Checking in was easy and she even printed out some documents for us while we were there. She was a real life saver! I would highly recommend staying at Geri's place if you are going to be in the Dublin area.
Thank you , we travelled in April from Canada to Dublin for family get together 8 adults and 2 babies . Loads of space and good value for money . Great neigh hood and every thing is close by Played golf at Howth Head What a view
Living room small , kitchen was very handy to have we would return again
To say disappointed is an understatement. I have only ticked 1 star, because the app won't let you rate it 0 !
We were met at the property by a man. On entry the place was freezing. Every window, in every BEDSIT style room was wide open. He didn't know about heating, so we had to go round closing everything. Finally got to the kitchen come living room and realised why every window was open, the stench of hash smoke/fumes was overpowering to say the least. The man couldn't get away quick enough, basically left the key and ran!
We were travelling with my 3yr old daughter, and in no shape or form was this property habitable for us, let alone my daughter. To describe the "comfortable, warm & cosy" (as described on the rental info) is a total farce, there was nothing comfortable, warm or cosy about it. The rooms were rammed with beds of all sizes, nowhere to sit, apart from the stinking kitchen! Showers were filthy, bed bases stained, bags of washing from previous guests left lying and so on. The list is endless. An absolute disgrace that people get away with making money from this property. NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE. DISGRACE.
