Contemporary lounge/Dining area with double sofa bed. Kitchenette and private balcony. Use of Sauna/Fitness room and bar/lounge with Fire Pit. Ski room with ski locker and boot driers. Beautiful interior with towels, linen, Molten Brown products and end of stay clean, towels and linen included. Beds made on arrival. 3 Flat Screen TVS/ 2DVD players. About Zoe Wilkinson

Having spent many wonderful family holidays in the French Alps both in the winter and the summer, our dream was to one day buy our very own property and be able to share our love of the mountains.

Early in 2016 after returning from our annual ski trip we sat down over a cuppa (’s not completely true as I always prefer a G& the evening of course) and decided to follow our dream and go property hunting .

Our wish list was for a property, which was in the heart of the French Alps, within easy reach of an extensive ski area, a haven for outdoor enthusiasts in the summer, excellent transport links, breathtaking views, community spirit, ideal for all ages and all located in a village which had retained its rustic charm. I know you must thinking “you don’t ask for much” but let me tell you, it was fate, we found what we were looking for and our dream became a reality and ‘Notre Reve (Our Dream) Apartment’ was found in the beautiful Savoyard village of Montchavin La Plagne.

As a family of 4 (if you don’t count the 2 cats) and with over 15 years experience in the travel industry, I know only too well how expensive family holidays are especially in the school holidays. Our priority has always been to be able to provide an accommodation, which is a home from home, excellent for families, whilst being affordable. Our prices are competitive and excellent value for money, which will leave more pennies for you to create memorable experiences and adventures, after all isn’t that what life is about?

We are thrilled to be able to share our cosy apartment with guests and have personally decorated it ourselves with love, care and attention to detail.. always helps to have a decorator as a any excuse for me to go shopping! All we ask is for you to enjoy yourselves, look after each other and our apartment.

Our holiday home is one of 32 apartments in the Residence Le Chalet Montchavin, (previously known as Chalet Anaite ).

Situated in the heart of the village, guests have only a 3-minute walk to the ski lifts, ski school, shops and restaurants.

Our cosy duplex apartment sleeps 6 with an open plan upper level featuring a double eaves room, two single oak cabin beds with TV and DVD player and a luxurious bathroom with Molten Brown products for you to enjoy. All beds come with duck feather pillows and quilts.

Downstairs guests can choose to unwind in the contemporary lounge/dining area or relax on the private balcony to enjoy the evening sun and watch as it sets behind the mountains.

The lounge, which is equipped with a Flat Screen TV and DVD player, doubles up as a sofa bed for two with an additional luxurious bathroom on the ground floor to stop the queues for the bathroom!

The apartment is ideal for couples and families of 4/5 but will sleep 6.

Our fully equipped kitchen will ensure that self-catering has never been easier and with a local bakery service, fresh bread can be delivered daily.

As skiers ourselves we know the importance of dry ski boots in the morning therefore it was a priority that our private ski locker has boot driers for a family.

Having personally decorated the apartment ourselves, it was important to us that our contemporary apartment had an alpine feel with many special touches bought locally from villages.

Appartement coquet, séjour agréable

Appartement coquet, impeccable et joliment décoré, parfait pour 4 personnes, qui bénéficie en outre des services de la résidence attenante.

Lits extrêmement confortables, salles de bains modernes et bien équipées.

L'appartement, en duplex et mansardé, conviendra toutefois peu aux personnes grandes (sous peine de passer son temps à se cogner) et ne convient pas aux enfants de moins de 3 ans, en raison de l'escalier, très raide.

Propriétaire par ailleurs disponible et réactive.

Seuls bémols : une cuisine très petite, une terrasse qui donne sur la route, l'absence de vue et la situation éloignée de l'ESF (à l'autre bout du village).

Globalement, une (très) bonne adresse !

We are pleased you loved the decor of the apartment and found it really cosy we want it to feel home from home.As described upstairs is open plan and is suitable for a family with a luxurious bathroom. We have a stair gate for safety if needed for any family with small children. This will need requesting as we agree the stairs are steep. There is also a door that closes at the top of the stairs for additional safety. To address the points you raised. The kitchen which is well equipped is small but this is the design of the apartment and we are unable to extend this but have put extra sockets and shelves for storage it really does have everything you need. We were surprised at your thoughts on the balcony as this has been a positive for all other guests. Yes the mountain road can be seen which is very quiet but you also see the beautiful mountains beyond this and is a little sun trap for having a drink on the balcony. You can also see the woodland. Yes the ESF is at the other side of the village but Evolution ski school is nearer 2 mins walk and is nearer. You were great guests and we would love to have you back and again thank you for taking the time to do a review.
