About Louis Agabani

I have lived in the area with my family since 2001. Wells is a glorious place to be and an easy city to live in.

We used to run a toy shop in Wells, which has sadly closed several years ago.

Why Louis Agabani chose Mendip (Glastonbury)

The cottage has a very calm and relaxing feeling about it. Although it is in a city it always amazes us how quite and peaceful it is. The garden is a sun trap (when it's out), so can get quite warm.

What makes this cottage unique

Wells, is England’s second smallest city behind the City of London, is packed full of gems including a beautiful Cathedral, Bishops Palace with moated gardens and central market square.

There is a wide range of restaurants and coffee shops including award winning Goodfellows and new arrival Ensemble.

Also a wide variety of national stores and independent boutiques in Wells as well as shopping destinations Kilver Court and Clarks Village

It has Somerset's best farmers market every Wednesday and general market every Saturday featuring wide range of local foods and beverages, antiques and books.

There is Lots to do in the local area from riding and fishing to cycling on the levels. Local attractions including Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole, Hauser & Wirth in Bruton and historic houses and gardens including Stourhead and Montacute House.

Plus a great local pub just two minutes walk from the cottage as well as a local convenience store.

To top it all up Wells has been used film Hollywood blockbusters like Hot Fuzz.

Quiet, cosy and convenient cottage in Wells.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was very welcoming. Everything is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The sitting room is very spacious and well equipped with a log burner, cosy sofa and easy to use wi fi. The kitchen is very clean and has plenty of space. Everything works properly.

The bedrooms are very well presented with very comfortable beds and snuggly crisp duvets. The bathroom is spotless and there is always plenty of hot water for showers etc.

Although on quite a busy road, the cottage is set back and there is no traffic noise once inside. There is plenty of parking. It was a stroll in to the city, but a very pleasant one and. We discovered a lane to walk back on in daylight which was fun.

Wells is a delightful city and there was plenty to do over the Christmas period. We would recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to explore this part of Somerset.

Beautiful cottage in a beautful area

  • 5 of 5

Myself, wife and 2 children had an extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay in the cottage in October 2016. The cottage is beautiful with the decor and furnishings to a very high standard.

We found that there was a lot to do in the surrounding area and visited Wells, Bath and Cheddar Gorge.

Wells Cathedral, the Bishops Palace and streets surrounding really are amazing. Evenchoral song at Wells Cathedral has to be heard to be believed.

Thank you to Louis and his wife for making the whole process so friendly and easy.
