This popular 2 bedroomed (1 double, 1 twin) country home offers a peaceful and comfortable haven for you to return to after exploring the beautiful area surrounding La Roche Bernard and is perfectly placed for visiting the sandy beaches, fantastic coves and many inland attractions of South Brittany.

Nestling in rural France, between the market towns of Redon and La Roche Bernard, the well-equipped gite of les Chenes is on the edge of the historic village of Sainte Anne and is part of a traditional Breton farmhouse, with 2 foot thick granite stone walls under a slate roof.

The cottage of lesChênes offers a lovely base to explore from, but with its pretty south facing garden you may just want to stay 'home'.
lesChênes is in an area of mixed woodland, cider apple orchards and farmland and is 5 minutes from the Vilaine River and only 20 minutes from Brittany's south coast.

les Chênes is privately owned and is ideal for holidays or as a house-hunting base, while you search this beautiful area for a cottage of your own.

Quiétude!

Un gîte très agréable et parfaitement équipé; literie très confortable, notamment. Environnement calme et accueil très chaleureux. Seul petit bémol/détail: les escaliers sont un peu raides. Un très agréable séjour!

Wonderful stay

We have spent a genuinely happy stay. The house is charming and very well equipped. The countryside is gorgeous. Melaney is a very nice host, discreet but warmful and attentive.

Juste parfait

Mel est faite pour le contact humain avec son grand sourire et ses gestes amicaux. Elle est soucieuse de notre bien être accompagnée de son mari. La maison à elle seule vous invite à rester. Seul problème… notre séjour était trop court. ♥️ Merci également Mel pour ce fou rire que j’ai eu dans la voiture en repensant à vous à quatre pattes pour tenir votre chien afin qu’il ne parte pas avec nous.

We were so fortunate this property came up for sale just as we narrowed our search to this lovely area. We'd admired the house in passing, but it was not on the market, then ~ the ' A VENDRE' board went up.... right place, right time!

What makes this property unique

Country living but close to so many amenities/locations/attractions. Only an hour to Brittany's capital Rennes, also Vannes & Nantes in under an hour, less than an hours flight to UK, two and a half hours on the train to be in Paris. A world renowned golf club 10 minutes away, more restaurants than are good for you! 20 minutes drive to stunning coast ......
