About the property

Available from December 2013, our spacious, 3 storey, 5 bedroom Victorian holiday home in the centre of the seaside town of Broadstairs. The house is 200m from Viking Bay, the town's main beach, and 100m from the cafe's, bars, pubs and restaurants of Broadstairs high street and harbour.The house has been carefully preserved with period features and modern decor. It is well equipped for 2 or 3 families with 4 double beds, 2 single beds and an additional child's single in one of the double rooms. The kitchen table seats 6 and the interconnecting dining room has a table that extends to seat 12. The cozy lounge has 2 sofas, an armchair and a gas fire.There is a courtyard garden at the rear of the house with a gas barbecue and table and chairs. Side access to the garden is perfect for buggies and bikes and you can enter the house directly into a utility room and downstairs bathroom to clean off sandy children! We have a sea kayak that guests are welcome to use, and beach chalet in the centre of Viking Bay which has a gas burner, deck, chairs, buckets and spades and general beach paraphernalia.The house is perfect for summer beach holidays but equally fun out of season for weekend walks along the beaches, cycling the coastal paths and drinking and eating in the local cafes, bars and restaurants.The bedroom layout is as follows:First floor: Master double bedroom, a second double and a children's room with 2 bunk beds Second Floor: 2 double bedrooms with one having an extra children's single.Please note:Prices may be subject to change at the advertiser's discretion. A refundable deposit of £250 is payable at the time of booking, to be refunded within 2 weeks of departure subject to a satisfactory property inspection.

House lovely but missing a few vitals!

House is lovely & great location but few small things could have improved the experience. Pretty disappointing for the price we paid. 1) only one loo roll on arrival, 2) no soap in any of the bathrooms, 3) BBQ in the garden doesn't work. If you want to check out after the standard 10am you need to pay a substantial fee to apparently reschedule the cleaners for later. If you visit, don't forget the vitals.

Owner's Response: Hi Lisa We are really pleased that you enjoyed the house! So sorry that you felt the basics were not enough for your stay. In our welcome pack we include White Company shower essentials, kitchen basics and one toilet roll, which we hope is enough to get you started. We do this rather than adding on costs for lots of extras which you might not need. Sorry again that you felt this was lacking, it is certainly not our intention to leave you short.
