Why Mary - 353 877485485 chose Cavan

Beautiful relaxed rural setting. Great fishing. Great walks through Agricultural College with no traffic to worry about. 7km to Cavan town and a walk to local general supermarket and pubs. Check out website https://www.theirishaesthe.com/tag/ballyhaise

This covers history and architecture of the building and estate opposite (which is now the agricultural college). Some really interesting history. Equestrian Centre only 5 minutes drive.

What makes this house unique

Stone work outside is beautiful and fireplace inside has been made with same skill. Very comfortable and warm feeling came over us the first time we saw the property.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Really enjoyed our stay in Drumaraw House. The house is well situated, spacious and well equipped. The Annalee River at the bottom of the garden - a boon to those interested in course fishing. A 10 minute drive takes you to Cavan Town for shopping or dining out. Golfers are also catered for in the area. Ballyhaise is also well located for visiting places of interest in Cavan itself or further afield.

Great home that is well equipped for a wonderful stay! Plenty of space, beautiful river on the property, and kitchen with all the necessary tools available. Mary was a gracious hostess, house was clean, and we loved our stay here.

Excellent accommodation - highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I booked Drumaraw House for 2 nights (for six adults and three children) in July to celebrate my mother's 60 birthday.

Mary (the owner) could not have been more friendly, helpful and accomodating; she was easy to contact and answered queries efficiently prior to arrival.

The house itself is very well equipped with plenty of utensils, glasses, furniture etc. The beds were very comfortable and the bathrooms very spacious (and clean!). The house was perfect for six adults and three children (aged 1, 6 and 8). The kids had a great time playing outside in the grassy area!

Everyone had such a lovely time and I would highly recommend Drumaraw House for anyone wishing to indulge in a relaxing break in lovely surroundings; we will definitely be back!

La casa nos gustó mucho pero de lujo no la calificaría, y no es que estuviera limpia al 100%.

  • 4 of 5
