Classic 18th century leaded -style windows local Sherborne stone, THE Millstream boasts sweeping topiary-peppered lawns and is surrounded by mature borders ensuring peaceful seclusion. Surrounding views are of rolling hills, while the southern and western boundaries border farmland. A small mill stream with a footbridge meanders along the banks, adjacent to which is a pillared grotto (Pavilion) with a timber walkway. The deck with outdoor sofas allows you to sit and take in the scent of the lavender-lined borders. Very Private and not overlooked.

Notes:
You can rent the PAVILION with the MILLSTRAM to make up 16 guests, it is a Separate building next door. If not taking both properties we only rent one or the other. Downstairs is a sitting room, Kitchen with a cool American fridge, and a bedroom with a funky carved door. The Pavilion, newly built of stone quarried from the land and stylishly sleeping four, the setting is idyllic. Half way up to the second bedroom is a door to a furnished terrace with a view onto the garden – beautifully trim and tended. Inside is a warm creative contemporary décor There are great white sofas for film nights in (note the projector), a big gorgeous bathroom with a power plate and a sauna – steam or dry; books, games and a chef on tap, hampers brimming with local produce. You can take Pavilion and Millstream together, or rent one and have the place to yourself. A mile from the delightful hamlet is a foodie pub (borrow the wellies); then it's back for a deep wallow in the hot-tub-with-views [extra cost]

Fees No additional mandatory fees
Refundable Damage Deposit £1,500

Booking Notes:
The Client is required to pay an initial 50% deposit of the total booking fee. Payment of the booking fee balance (and any additional charges) is due in cleared funds 12 weeks prior to the arrival date. If the booking confirmation date is within 12 weeks of the arrival date, we shall require full payment of the holiday cost and any charges for additional services that might be due.
The refundable Security deposit is due one week prior to arrival date.

Changeover Day:
Check-in time is 4pm Check-out time is 10am. The Client is requested to adhere to the arrival and departure times listed for the property. Changes to these times can be requested prior to arrival but are subject to confirmation.

Notes on prices:
***PRICES SHOWN ARE FOR 11 GUESTS IN THE MILLSTREAM ONLY***
Pricing is based on staying seven nights. Short breaks (2 - 5 nights) will be 45% - 90% of the full weekly rate; dependent on time of the year - low, mid and high seasons. For Easter, Christmas and New Year we only rent THE MILLSTREAM and THE PAVILION together.
All prices quoted at the point of enquiry are valid until midnight of the day on which they were given. Prices quoted for a provisional booking are valid for 24 hours.

Security (damage) deposit
We also require a refundable Security deposit of £1,200 - £1,500 for THE MILLSTREAM and £250 - £500 for THE PAVILION depending on the party size. The deposit is payable one week before arrival and refunded within 7 days from departure.

Manager's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
