The apartment is located on the ground floor of our home nestled in the green hills of olive groves. It consists of a large living area with kitchenette, dining table, fireplace with a sofa and a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The living area has two large windows that overlook an independent porch equipped with table and chairs from which to enjoy the view of the surrounding hills and the village of Chiassa Superiore. Around there is a large park with olive trees and you can enjoy long walks without having to take the car, so there is a place reserved in front of the apartment.
Our house is near the village (100 meters) and the town of Arezzo (8 km) medieval city, home of Guido d'Arezzo, Petrarch and Vasari. Every first weekend of the month in Arezzo there is the Antiques Fair in the streets of the old town, to find antiques of all kinds, but also modern objects.
An hour's drive away you can reach the major cities of art - Florence, Siena, Perugia - but also beautiful villages such as Cortona, Anghiari, Montepulciano. From Chiassa are just a half-hour places of monastic spirituality as the Sanctuary of La Verna and the Hermitage of Camaldoli and from here you can go on nature walks, religious, cultural and spiritual through the hills and the mountains to walk ancient abbeys or visit the surrounding forests with guided night walks by an expert local guide.
Chiassa Superiore is a pretty village, north of Arezzo, on the road leading to Anghiari and the Tiber Valley through the Pass of Libbia. The country was born around the ancient Romanesque church of Santa Maria, dating from the tenth and eleventh, the early Christian origins, along the creek Chiassa, tributary. The city of Arezzo, 15 minutes, offers splendid artistic and architectural masterpieces, the church of San Francesco with the frescoes of the Legend of the True Cross by Piero della Francesca, the Piazza Grande with Vasari lodges, Santa Maria della Pieve, the Dome , Casa Vasari.
