Dawlish Warren Apartment, Ground Floor, Two Bedroom, in the center of Dawlish Warren with easy access to the beach and amenities.

Lovely ground floor apartment that has been newly refurbished and consists of a double bedroom with TV, single bedroom with full size bunk beds, bathroom with full size bath, living room with 40 inch TV and leather sofa, kitchen/ dining area with table and four chairs and patio area with bench.

This family friendly accommodation is in an excellent location that is situated within a privately owned complex which has well maintained with landscaped gardens and is 5 minutes walk from Dawlish Warren's Blue Flag, life guarded beach, lots of local amusements and an award winning nature reserve. An 18 hole golf course is close by. For cycle enthusiasts, there is a level cycle route along the Exe Estuary to Exeter.

Eating out is easy as there is a multitude of Restaurants, Takeaways and Pubs within a few minutes walking and they suit all budgets and tastes. Nearby Dawlish has lots of attractions including pubs and Restaurants and is well known for the Brook and adjacent lawns which are a home to a variety of wildfowl including the famous black swans.

An allocated private parking space is provided outside the apartment and is included in the rental price and if you would like to leave the car behind there are excellent transport links by bus and rail to a variety of attractions.

To relax in the sun we have a patio outside the front of the apartment which gets the sun for most of the day.

The kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, small freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle. Bathroom facilities include a standard size bath, sink and toilet.

Heating is by electric heaters in bedrooms and living room.

We provide all Bed Linen but Towels are not provided.

Electric is via coin meter.

There is no smoking in the apartment and Pets are not allowed.

Clean well equiped & close to amenities

Ideal location for young families. With plenty of eating places, fair & go-karting & beach, train station all within easy reach of the accommodation. We caught the train on a couple of occasions to catch the Ferry to Exmouth & also went to Torquay as was so easy rather than driving & trying to park.

Very nice comfortable property in a good location

Nice little apartment - ideal for a few days stay at the seaside. Good value for money.

As a previous reviewer mentioned there is a slight smell of "old smoke" - we are probably a bit hypersensitive being non-smokers. Otherwise it was very clean & comfortable.

No problems at all really...

Only things worth mentioning/being aware of is that there is no WiFi but you can get access via a BT "hoptspot" but this is sometimes a weak & unreliable signal.

It is very close to the railway station which is very handy but, with this comes a little bit of train noise but again not really a big deal/problem.

The apartment is heated by storage heaters & these are sometimes a bit tricky to control/get heat just right when you need it. Probably less of a problem in the summer than for our April stay.

The "instant" water heater is perfectly adequate for the shower; there is a decent enough flow unlike some I've experienced elsewhere.

The kitchen was adequate but we only used it for breakfast....eating out at local pubs or getting takeaways was our preferred (/lazy) option for main meals.

All the points above are just for information. We would definitely stay again and think it is great value accommodation. In fact, our 6 year old will probably INSIST on going there again as he enjoyed sleeping on the top of the bunk beds!

Ok but smells of cigarettes

It was not bad but we had to clean a bit and it smelled awfully of cigarettes. So it left all our clothes smelly. Also the water ran in a trickle so by the time the bath was run it was cold

Owner's Response: We're sorry you had a some issues with your stay and we will try our best to resolve them. Although the apartment description states that there is no smoking the previous people staying did not observe this. We have now put no smoking signs in the apartment. The hot water is supplied via an instantaneous water heater which has a limited output when filling a bath. The hot water is good for having a shower. We are considering just having a shower cubicle. We always try to keep the apartment clean and tidy but it seems something was overlooked on this occasion. We will try to be more thorough in cleaning the apartment in future. Thank you for your stay.
