Great week away on holiday

Coralli spa is in a great location just a 10 minute walk away from Protaras main strip. It is a clean and modern building with a nice size pool with plenty of sun lounges. The actual apartment was fantastic. Spacious, well equipped, clean and modern. Couldn't have wished for a better place to stop with a group of friends celebrating a 50th birthday and enjoying the great food and drinks in the bars and restaurants of Protaras

Lovely apartment for a great relaxing break

My wife and I have just had a lovely week staying at this apartment in Protaras. In particular:

- Dawn, the owner, was very friendly and helpful in answering our e-mails before we arrived, including helping to arrange an airport transfer.

- The apartment itself is certainly spacious enough for two people. It was clean, modern, comfortable and contained everything we needed. Importantly, it also has good air conditioning. The balcony has plenty of space to sit outside and have breakfast. It's nicely shaded in the morning, and then catches the sun in the afternoon and evening, and has a lovely relaxing view of the sea.

- There are two pools, which are both plenty big enough for a cooling dip. It was easy to get sun loungers by each pool, with one of the pools being virtually empty every day. The pools are relatively quiet - no loud music blasting out all day here. It was much better than some of the overcrowded pools outside the hotels on the way to Fig Tree Bay.

- Fig Tree Bay itself is lovely but crowded, and instead we really enjoyed the small bay and steps leading down to the sea a couple of minutes' walk from the hotel. Again, there was hardly anyone in the sea, but it was clear, still and so relaxing to cool down in.

- We also enjoyed Protaras. It's basically a long strip of bars (offering a mix of live music, decent cocktails, and big screens if you're looking for sport), and restaurants and tavernas with a good range of reasonably priced food. It seems ideal for couples who want a wander out in the evenings for a meal and a few late drinks. The apartment is a five minute walk from the strip - just far enough away so you're not bothered by the noise when you get home. There are also a couple of shops which are less than five minutes walk away.

We both agreed that in the future we would definitely look to rent an apartment rather than a hotel room.

Lovely Apartment - Good Location - Terrible Neighbours

The apartment itself (318A) is lovely inside, well equipped and has a nice side sea view. The bedroom has three large fitted wardrobes a small dresser and a beside table. The living area has a sofa, TV, table with 4 chairs and the kitchen area has a fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There are glass sliding doors which lead out into the balcony which opens the living space right up and gives a panoramic view. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink and is reasonably sized. The apartment is a good sized space for two people, but I would've found it a squeeze with anymore. Unfortunately the walls must be very thin as we could hear everything from the other apartments around us and below us. Also, on two or three nights of our stay there were extremely loud parties going on until the early hours from hotels or apartments about 150m across the wasteland and the rear of block A which caused a huge inconvenience. One was so loud it felt like it was on the balcony and went on until 3am!

The building itself is nice. It has two pools, one to the side of block A facing out towards the sea which is more popular with families and kids. The other is at the rear of block B by the car park which was more popular with couples.

The location; 10-15 minute walk from Fig Tree bay and the beaches at Protaras or a 10 minute drive to the beaches at Ayia Napa and Kapparis further north. There is a rocky bay at the bottom of the property with steps leading into the sea which is lovely for swimming/snorkelling. It's an easy 10-15 minutes walk into the Protaras strip where all the restaurants and bars are which was a bonus.

The contact and support from the owner/representative of the owner was fantastic from start to finish. Clear instructions and contact at relevant points prior to arrival. Also received a message to check that we arrived ok which was a nice touch. Clearly the owner can't do anything about general noise so no blame afforded to them, but it would put me off staying here again I'm afraid.

Now, the main negative point; as lovely as the apartment is and as lovely a holiday destination Cyprus used to be, the building (and Cyprus as a whole) is full of rude, obnoxious and loud Russian holidaymakers. They will let doors close in you face, walk into you in the street, never say thank you, never say please. They have ruined the atmosphere in Cyprus and had a negative impact on our holiday. I won't be returning to Cyprus for that reason.

Entspricht leider in keiner Weise einem Luxury Rooftop Appartment!

Das Appartement liegt im 3. und somit obersten Stock eines von mehreren Vermietern belegten Appartementhauses. Von außen recht ansehnlich, innen jedoch mit dreckigen Fluren, abgeschlagenen Wänden etc.

Das Appartement wird als Luxus Wohnung angepriesen, das ist sie auf keinen Fall !

Ziemlich lieblos und sehr spartanisch eingerichtet. Wir vermissten z. B. einen Couch- Tisch vor dem Sofa im Wohnbereich (Getränke stellten wir dann einfach auf dem Boden ab), Küchen-Utensilien sind auch nur spärlich vorhanden ( keine Eierbecher, Untersetzer für Töpfe fehlen komplett...)

Ein kleiner Balkon mit viel zu kleinem Tisch zum Frühstücken, selbst für 2 Personen.

Das Bett ist gerade mal 160x200 Meter groß! Leider gibt es am Bett nur 1 Nachtschränkchen und nur 1 Leselampe.

Das vorhandene Bad ist ca. 6qm klein und es sind keinerlei Ablagemöglichkeiten vorhanden.

Achtung, Adapter notwendig! Im Appartment ist nur ein Adapter vorhanden, in Zeiten von IPhone usw. ist das viel zu wenig. Wir haben dann an der Rezeption, die eigentlich gar nicht für uns zuständig war, einen weiteren Adapter für 5€ Leihgebühr geliehen.

Insgesamt würden wir dieses Objekt weder nochmals buchen oder weiterempfehlen.

Die Lage ist gut, man erreicht viele der schönen Strände in der Umgebung sehr schnell, aber unter einem Luxury Appartment haben wir uns etwas mehr versprochen bzw. erwartet.

Den direkten Strandzugang wie beschrieben haben wir auch nicht gefunden. In direkter Nähe findet sich eine schöne kleine Bucht mit direktem Meerzugang, diese ist aber nur sehr bedingt zum Baden geeignet und wird auch von den Bewohnern des benachbarten Hotels genutzt.

However, I am quite surprised by your review and I am sorry you feel so negative about the apartment. I would like to address several points made in your review and all information will be passed on to the owner. I contacted you during your stay to see if the apartment was to your satisfaction and there did not appear to be any immediate concerns. Your reference regarding the spartan furnishings and unloved is purely based on taste. We always use actual pictures of the apartments so that there are no surprises when the guests arrive. You can see the decor, furniture and layout on the web pictures. The coffee table has been removed to make space for the sofa bed to help accommodate families. The kitchen is well equipped and has a full check for missing utensils etc after every guest has left. Our property manager documents any missing/damaged items after every visit. (*as we charge for any major breakages) The balcony is of average size for the property with sufficient furniture supplied as can been seen in photographs. The advert states a queen bed and the measurements you have quoted are that of a standard universally sized queen bed. Only one lamp....? As a frequent traveller myself I always take my own adaptors and I feel it is expected that our guests will do the same. The beach/bay adjacent to Coralli Spa is not exclusive to us and never claim it to be so other guests from neighbouring hotels have every right to use it too. The bay is opposite with steps leading down to the sea and the beach is a little further along the walkway to the right (just a couple of hundred yards). I am not sure why you could not find this. I advertise on other holiday sites and have lots of great reviews. I'm sorry you did not pass on some of your concerns during your stay as I could have addressed some of them. I respect that everyone has different opinions and views on things but feel that this review is really not a true reflection of A318 Coralli Spa.

The apartment is just 35-40 minutes drive from Larnaca Airport in the peaceful cove next to Fig Tree Bay. Within 15 minutes drive from Protaras you will find the popular beach resort of Ayia Napa which also hosts great beaches and tourist amenities, including a large funfair and the best water park in Cyprus. A drive in the opposite direction will take you to the traditional village of Paralimni which is a mixture of both the old and the new. Three attractive churches located in the centre square are the main focal point of the village whilst numerous modern shops and cafes lie in the surrounding area. Protaras is truly a resort with something for everyone. The beach-lover in you will adore the magical coastline, whilst the traveller in you will enjoy the cultural diversity of the area.

The apartment is a 10 minute elf from the centre of Protaras. Four superb beaches are within easy walking distance, including the famous Fig Tree bay where the soft golden sandy beach meets the turquoise Mediterranean waters. Protaras is the most cosmopolitan resort in Cyprus and is admired by all visitors to the island. Within the resort there are a variety of amenities on offer including water sports, horse riding, a sea life aquarium and some of the best diving sites in Europe. An immense variety of innovative cuisine from Brazilian to Japanese and of course the spectacular local dishes cooked on spits and in clay ovens, gives visitors a chance to sample some of the best food in the Mediterranean. Take a stroll along the central tourist avenue, lined with shops, boutiques and a variety of cafes and bars to suit all tastes.
