charming spacious old village house with garden and pool. Situated in a quiet cul de sac a few minuets walk from the bustling ancient village square of Capestang. There are an excellent selection of cafes, restaurants and shops and a twice weekly market. The famous canal du midi is close by with boat and bicycle hire available. The Mediterranean beaches are only 20 mins drive away.

The cottage has a spacious lounge and dining area, a large fully fitted kitchen inside including dishwasher, and an outside kitchen for cooking al fresco meals, together with a stone built BBQ, There is a bathroom /toilet on the ground floor and a shower room toilet on the first floor. delightful terraced garden with 5 x 3 metres pool.The bedrooms comprise, 1 large double on the ground floor, 1 large double and two, twin bedded on the first floor. The cottage is very definitely a comfortable home for easy living and great for all the family..

About peter lancaster

Peter & Siew, lived in the Capestang for 14 years on our Dutch barge. We enjoy living in the cottage when it's not rented or when our children visit. Having spent quite a few years sailing around the Med and cruising the barge though Europe, I fell in love with Capestang and stayed here, as many others have. We love and enjoy our cottage which we will retire to within the next few years.

Why peter lancaster chose Capestang

The cottage is close to the village centre without being overwhelmed by the noise and bussle associated with town centres. Having a south facing garden with a pool is for us an essential for living in the sun. The area has a unique micro climate with very low rain fall and 300 days of sunshine per year.

Lovely home in a quiet area of the charming village of Capestang.

Peter & Siuw are wonderful hosts and were only a phone call away. The house is well equipped and easy to keep clean. We would definitely book again if we return to the area

Lovely place, helpful owner, great location

Very happy to recommend. The owner was very helpful, the house is actuallly better than the photos show, it's location on a quiet street on the edge of the village is only a short walk to all the amenities. It was very hot during our stay so we bought an donated a fan which made it fine!

Agréable séjour

Nous avons grandement apprécié notre séjour de deux semaines dans la maison de Mr. Lancaster à Capestang. Notre groupe était composé de 5 adultes et de 2 enfants. La maison offrait amplement l'espace nécessaire pour tout le monde avec toutes les accommodations modernes pour nous assurer un séjour confortable. A notre arrivée, la maison était propre et nous avons recu toutes les informations pertinentes. En outre, la maison est bien située dans le Midi de la France pour faciliter les déplacements à la mer ou encore vers des sites d'intérêt touristiques. Nous avons pu découvrir une région magnifique et la température nous a été vraiment favorable.

Erholungsurlaub auf dem Land

Capestang eignet sich bestens für einen Erholungsurlaub auf dem Land. Im Ort ist alles vorhanden, was man so braucht. Wir genossen vor allem useren täglichen Aperitiv auf dem Marktplatz. Zum Fahrradfahren benötigt man die entsprechenden ign-Wanderkarten, um sich geteerte Wirtschaftwege und Nebenstrecken zusammenzustellen. Eine Fahrt am Canal du midi ist zwar ein Muss, macht aber wegen der holprigen Radstrecken weniger Spaß.

Jede Menge tolle Ziele sind mit dem Auto erreichbar. Das Mittelmeer ist ca. 20 km entfernt. Die Strände waren herrlich leer, das Wasser etwas frisch (Ende September)

Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Besonders gut gefiel uns der Außenbereich mit dem tollen Sitzplatz unter dem Baum, Hier saßen wir fast täglich Ende September noch abends spät im Freien. Gerätschaft zum Grillen ist umfassend vorhanden. Der Vermieter, Peter Lancaster, ist freundlich und stets hilfsbereit.

Vorsicht: Anti-Stechmückenausrüstung nicht vergessen.

The cottage is sited on the edge of the village, in a quiet cul de sac,, which has all the shopping, market, restaurant, bar facilities and a splendid very social central square. The canal du midi runs through the village with boat and bike hire available. The area is surrounded by mountains and lakes with dramatic views over the area. The beaches and sea are only 20 mins drive. Being in the middle of a massive wine producing area, there are many wine caves close by.
