Are you looking for a base to explore the Yorkshire Dales and surrounding area and want to have amenities close by? This is the place for you!

Goodwood House is nestled in a lovely spot only 10 mins drive from The Dales and just over 3.5 miles from the delightful medieval market town of Richmond. For your convenience, shops, restaurants, cinema, leisure centre are to be found just over a mile way.

Goodwood House is a lovely modern house, there is parking and a fully enclosed garden. A great base for a family holiday or business clients looking for a home from home. Close to shops and amenities and the Yorkshire Dales. Childrens play park 100m across green. Several lovely walks straight from the house.

Dogs are welcome and even receive their own Welcome Pack, so please let me know if you are bringing your dog with you.

Comfortable, bright, modern house.

There is parking space and garage next to the house, leading to the back garden which has a decked area, flower bed and pots, with garden seat. There is even a washing line if you need it!

The French doors lead to a large, bright kitchen diner with built in oven and hob, washing machine, fridge freezer and plenty storage cupboards.

Guests will find a homely lounge with comfy sofa and chairs, tables and TV. There is a cloakroom with WC and washbasin downstairs.

Take the stairs to the bedrooms and bathrooms. We provide bed linen and towels. The bedroom accommodation is made up as follows:

Bedroom 1: 2 x single beds which can be made up together

Bedroom 2: 2 x single beds which can be made up together

Bedroom 3: 1 x adult sized bed bed

The living room also has a sofa bed which can sleep 2.

Very comfortable and well-equipped cottage

We stayed for 2 nights while attending a wedding at the fabulous Hildyard Arms nearby. The cottage was perfect for us. Very comfortable and warm, with everything we needed. Lorna was very helpful and directions, etc., very easy to understand. Thank you for an excellent stay and we would definitely book again.

Perfect accommodation for family and dog

We had a lovely stay at Lornas house. It met all our needs, (including our dog, Shadow). The kitchen was well equipped and even had a dishwasher! Lorna was very helpful, her neighbours were friendly and gave us directions to local shops etc. Sadly our dog left his toy Mickey Monkey behind but one of Lornas dogs has adopted him so he is being well looked after! We hope to stay again sometime in the future.

Super house

Great house, stayed there for a few days with our dogs. The house was beautifully warm all the time and the facilities were perfect for us. It was great to have parking right outside, the secure enclosed garden area was a bonus and we could walk the dogs straight from the house. Lorna the owner was very welcoming and friendly, would highly recommend.

Very clean, equipped with everything you would need for a stay away from home. Lovely location, easy access instructions, one of the best away from home houses I have stayed in. Would definitely recommend.

Spacious and Comfortable

The rental was well furnished and comfortable. Everything was in good order and there were plenty of dishes and extra supplies. We could not get the dryer to work, but that may have been because we didn't understand how to do it. Lorna was helpful and accommodating of our changing schedule

Great family vacation

We had a lovely stay! The location was great to see the beautiful countryside in Richmond and surrounding areas. The unit was well appointed with all the necessary amenities and the owner was extremely helpful and easy to communicate with. We would highly recommend this place!
