Villa Margarita is a 400 sq. m residence of superior design and construction quality with a perfect layout for holidays. It is located in an enormous private land of 1,100 sq. m near a village called Episkopi in Heraklion region, offering full privacy and magnificent views of surrounding mountains and the sea. It is literally a hidden gem around the beauty and tranquility of a uniquely green landscape of Crete, only within a short driving distance from Heraklion city and the closest sandy beaches.

The villa is a unique spot in order to experience the real Crete while it is also only a short drive away from the city centre and the touristic areas.

The three-storey 380 sq. m villa is furnished with elegant and luxurious styles and it is also designed to take advantage of the natural light coming from outside, creating a delightful atmosphere for the whole house.

It can accommodate 10 people in beds and up to 12 people if it is necessary.

- Indoor layout -

Entering the villa on the ground floor there is a spacious open plan area consisting of the living room with a sofa, fireplace, a 40” satellite HDTV, an indoor dining area and a fully equipped kitchen of top quality fixtures and appliances. The living room area opens to a veranda with sitting area which leads you to the pool and the garden area. The ground floor also hosts a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with Jacuzzi bath, shower, a washing machine and a tumble dryer.

Reaching to the first floor through a staircase there is an open plan area with sitting area that a chess is placed to enjoy. Additionally this floor is designed to offer numerous facilities for the whole families / groups entertainment. The facilities include gym room with a wide collection of fitness equipment such as a steps, abs equipment, exercise bike, yoga board and a fitness multifunctional apparatus, office space with a printer, playroom area for young children plus a table tennis, cinema room with Playstation4 and 65” HDTV and a bathroom with a bath.

The staircase leads you further up to the second floor where the rest of 4 bedrooms are located. Three of the bedrooms have a double bed and the other one has 2 single beds which also can be transformed to be a double one if it is needed. Additionally the master bedroom has a 32" UHDTV, a closet room, a small fridge and en-suite bathroom with bath. There is another bathroom with shower located on this floor.

- Outdoor area -

The beautifully landscaped outdoor area offers a variety of facilities and spots for relaxation.

More specifically our outdoor facilities include:

- 50 sq. m ecological swimming pool with counter-current swimming system. The pool area is fenced and it can easily be isolated for child safety.

- Fully equipped charcoal barbecue area with a wood oven, kitchenette with a gas hob and a sink

- Outdoor dining area

- A variety of furnished spots (with sun beds, umbrellas, deck chairs and outdoor sofa) for relaxing in the gardens around the villa

- Playground area for young children

- Bathroom next to the pool

- Parking space (underground securely gated parking)

The whole outdoor area is totally private and fenced, offering full privacy to our guests.

Paradise is Villa Margarita

Everything about this villa was perfect. To begin with Michalis and Margarita were there when we arrived and took as much time as necessary to show us around their wonderful holiday villa. It really did have everything to cater for our group of 10. Our children found it hard to decide whether the large pool or the movie room or the play room was the best part. But for us adults it was the outside seating and BBQ area, with accompanying fridge freezer, that won out. If you are driving, the villa is 15 minutes from Heraklion airport, 10 minutes from a good sized Lidl and 8 minutes from a waterpark. If walking, the village of Episkopi is 10 minutes away and has enough to provide most things. There is also a local restaurant that delivers (Michalis provided the details on this) but beware of the free Raki that came with the food!! Michalis was on hand, via WhatsApp, if we had any questions and ensured that all cleaners only came to the villa at a time suitable to us. He and Margarita insisted they came to say goodbye before we left and brought a box of ice creams and hand painted pebbles as a leaving present. We could not have asked for anything more and will remember this holiday forever.

A Stunning Villa owned by a Wonderful Family

That is the easiest way to summarise this fantastic property. Being a new build everything is is in tip top condition, well equiped and luxurious. The bedrooms are large and air conditioned, the bathrooms spacious and well equiped and the living areas comfortable. The whole place oozes class. Outside is just as impressive with a fantastic barbeque area inlcuding pizza oven, and the pool area is extremely high quality with the excellent decking, comfortable sunbeds and a pool which has the best water quality we have ever experienced. There is even a concurrent system if you want to have an extended swim. Not only that but you have the most breathtaking and uninterupted views of the Cretan hills. There is even a fridge so you can enjoy a cold bottle of water or beer and a music system to connect your ipod - simple extras but so often overlooked. However, it is these little touches that make all the difference. Cleaning is conducted every three days and we always looked forward to the local culinary treats that were left for us on each occasion. Every time there would be something left to make life a little bit more comfortable, whether it be extra towels or your toiletires placed into a recently purchased organiser specially for you. It is like staying in a hotel with everything provided for you. A wonderful welcome pack of fruit, wine and basics to make breakfast, toiletries in all bathrooms, plenty of toilet rolls etc etc. So often you are expected to provide these things but not at Villa Margarita. If you want assistance of any kind the Kamaritis family are there for you. If you want to be left alone then your privacy is respected. They are warm and incredibly hospitable and really make you feel at home so that you can relax and enjoy your holiday. Heraklion is about 15 to 20 minutes by car and the new road makes it easy to get to Chania or the east side of the island should you want to venture out. We tend to camp ourselves at the villa and chill and for this Villa Margarita was perfect. You even get used to the cicadas very quickly!! If you want a luxury holiday at a sensible price with the genuine care and attention of a delightful family then you must make this your next holiday destination. Recommended unreservedly.

UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING!

I was left speechless for the entire first day after our arrival - I was just so impressed and happy! We were greeted by the whole family and everybody was so incredibly welcoming, even though it was nearly midnight! We received all the important information and the best part was a fresh, cold welcome Raki! They even provided us with breakfast for the morning & a delicious bottle of wine and bowl of fruit. Over the next few days, the owners were incredibly supportive with providing us with tips for local shops and restaurants, as well as coming to the villa to help us if we needed it at any time - they are very very dedicated to support guests!! They even brought us homemade deserts when they heard we were having some guests over for a BBQ party. We were very very pleased!! Overall, the villa and all its amenities are beyond all basic expectations. We were able to host a large BBQ party using the great BBQ area in the garden, were able to play music by the pool while enjoying the sunshine, but were also able to relax during a rainy day while watching movies from a huge Netflix-like selection in 3D on their incredible, massive TV. Although we were only 6 people, the house was so massive that even 10 people would fit very very comfortably. Even when we had many guests over, we were able to host everybody outside meaning the house stayed nice and tidy. We can all HIGHLY recommend this house if you want a beautiful home in the hilly fields of Crete, with an incredible 360 degree view! Only 15 minutes to Heraklion & 25 minutes to Hersonissos. We were very very pleased with our choice and were very sad to leave. We will 10000% come back!! Thank you for everything Villa Margarita!!
