About Paul Davis

We are a family run business who enjoyed holidays on the Norfolk Broads so much during our childhood that now we have children we have introduced our children and their friends to the fun of the Norfolk Broads and exploring the many special places to see in East Anglia.

We have decided to make our homes available for self catering holidays so that we can share our love of the Norfolk Broads with you. This has proved so popular that we now have a number of properties which we have tried to make a “home from home” and we offer a variety of short and full week breaks.

We hope you enjoy our places as much as we do and we look forward to welcoming you to one of them soon. Look at the comments from others who have stayed. Each place has its own comments page.

Why Paul Davis chose Wroxham

The old Brightside was demolished and the new one completed in 2016. It is now better and far more luxurious.

Very disappointing

  • 1 of 5

The owner of the property controls the heating and hot water remotely, which is ridiculous considering how much we paid to stay here. Spent most of the holiday calling the owner to request for the heating to be turned up. Judging by the comments in the guest book at the property, this is a common complaint. I am assuming the cost of gas is covered in the daily rental price, so it is unacceptable that guests are unable to have control over something that they have paid for. Would not recommend!

Owner's Response: We always appreciate fair reviews. However, this is not a fair review. The property has been newly built and has a state of the art heating system. Guests can adjust the temperature by + or – 2 degrees or we can adjust by more for them. We control the temperature remotely, so we can ensure the property is warm when guest arrive and also prevent burst pipes when it I empty. On this occasion the boiler developed a fault on Sunday morning at 8am. By 10am a heating engineer had visited and rectified the problem. We left messages for the guest to call us so that we could offer them a goodwill gesture. Unfortunately the guests never returned our call. This review is not representative of other reviews, we also have many repeat guests. We always work hard to keep our properties on good condition. On this occasion, a boiler fault has affected the guests stay, for which we are sorry.

  • 4 of 5

Really great stay! The house was lovely and clean, enough space for everyone. Garden and views were lovely and very peaceful! Very close walking distance to shops. Only improvement would be the beds were very hard. Overall a very lovely house and lovely location, would come back again.

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your kind review and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We know that mattresses can be a matter of personal taste and these are new mattresses which are medium firm as we try to cater for everyone on the soft to firm spectrum. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again.

Perfect holiday home on The Broads

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this holiday home. All accommodation was as detailed. Bathrooms/bedrooms were great and everything you may need was available. Location was superb just a short walk to the river and boat hire. Perfect setting, clean and tidy....no problems, just great.

Beautiful, spacious and wonderfully clean property.

  • 5 of 5

The property was spacious with all the mod cons that you could need. It's location couldn't be better with the river literally at the bottom of the garden. Wroxham is a lovely little town with great walks, scenery, a good pub and the breakfast at No 14 Coffee Shop was amazing 😊
