About the property

5 bedroom, 4 bathroom with separate apartment within walking distance to the sea

The three storey house is situated 1 km outside of the lovely town of Alcudia on a calm rural street. From the top floor one can enjoy spectacular views of the bay of Pollença and the Mediterranean countryside. Three hundred years ago the building served as a strategic tower to keep a look out for possible intruders of the bay and town of Alcudia.

The current owners successfully managed to preserve historic elements of the property combing the antique with modern comfort and enchanting country style. The traditional 10 m x 10 m water reservoir (1,60 m depth) is now an impressive swimming pool with its turquoise salt water shimmering in the sun. A fancy out of doors four poster bed decorated with white linens sits next to the pool and adds a stylish and cosy element. For maximum comfort there is an outside bathroom and an outside shower at the disposition of our guests.

The surrounding terraces and gardens are diverse and offer sun bathing on sun loungers or a relaxing time in the shade under the covered patio with a table and comfortable chairs. On a spacious terrace in front of the house you will find a barbecue station along with chairs and a table for dining outside. For our youngest guests there is a play area with a swing and slide, which is just another highlight of this especially beautiful holiday home.

The relatively calm sandy beach Es Morel Vermell may be reached by foot in only 2 minutes. Also within walking distance (15 min) are the precious sandy beaches of Sant Pere and Sant Juan (1,3 km).

Living areas

The charming main house offers three gorgeous double bedrooms and one single bedroom all equipped with air conditioning, three full bathrooms and two separate toilets. Each bedroom is decorated differently and with great taste. The double beds have the size 1,80 m x 2 m and the single bed is 90 cm x 2 m.

The cosy kitchen with its classic country house style furniture is fully equipped with a dishwasher, stove and oven, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, etc. It also has a small dining area for small get togethers while preparing a fresh meal. The larger dining room is adjacent to the kitchen and offers seats for ten guests.

There is a spacious living room on the first floor and several charming nooks throughout the house for reading, social encounters or relaxing during the time of siesta.

To the estate also pertains a separate smaller building which can host up to two further guests. The lovely apartment offers a double bedroom with air conditioning, a full bathroom, a bright living area and allows for plenty of privacy when traveling with a larger vacation party.

The holiday home Torre Dorada is also equipped for the sunny off season, since it has a central heating system, which is absolutely necessary to keep warm during the lovely Majorcan winters.

Cleaning service and further information

Linens and towels are provided. The final cleaning is included in the rental price, as well as a mid stay change of linens and towels. After seven days there is a small cleaning of the bathrooms and another change of linens and towels. Another change of linens and towels follows after three / four days.

Wifi is free.

Electricity is included up to a consumption of 275 kWh. Beyond that allowance electricity is charged at 0,25 € / kWh. For this purpose we do an electricity reading at Check-in and another one at Check-out.

In case the central heating is required, heating oil is charged apart at 1 €/ l.

A security deposit of 300 € is due at Check-in in cash (Euros) and will be returned at Check-out.

We receive our guests in person the day of arrival to explain functionalities of the property and to give ideas of what to do around Alcudia. Petra Lepelmeier and the owner Antonio Domingo will be your contact person during your entire stay at Torre Dorada.

Incredible Mediterranean home for your Majorcan vacation!

To us Americans, this was the quintessential Mediterranean country vacation home for us! We enjoyed every part of our stay. The grounds are absolutely stunning and the interior of the home was plenty large for 5 kids (ages 4-10) and three adults. The home is quite private, with a gate and fence surrounding the large property. We spent most of the time in the outdoor living space - there is a grill (barbecue), huge pool, covered sitting area, and kids play area. An easy five minute walk to the town of Alcudia offered lots of exploring for our kids and the adults. The amenities were fine - wifi (even works outside), clothes washing machine (no dryer -- this may be typical for Europe, though), dishwasher, full kitchen.

The reservation process was easy and dealing with Petra (property manager) and Tony (owner) was very pleasant. They met us at the property when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house and everything it had to offer. They even gifted us beautiful fruit and chocolates for the kids!

We just can't say enough about how absolutely beautiful and stunning this property is! If you're fond of beautiful gardens this place will take your breath away as it did mine. And if you are looking for a picturesque home away from the hustle of the main tourist areas (but close enough to get to easily by foot, car, or bike), this is the place!

The estate Torre Dorada belongs to the town of Alcudia and is situated in beautiful Manresa, close to bustling Puerto de Alcudia and tasteful and calm Bonaire.

Puerto de Alcudia is famous for it´s vast sandy beaches which extend to Can Picafort and Playa de Muro. The water is crystalline and the beaches are mostly shallow, allowing for great water pleasure. The old town of Alcudia, with it´s historic wall surrounding the core of the town, offers a glimpse into authentic Mallorquin lifestyle. Beautiful specialty shops, delicious restaurants offering tapas, mallorquin dishes, meat and fish specialties, as well as the local market attract numerous visitors each year.

Puerto de Alcudia and the bay of Pollença offer a great variety of summer fun activities and aquatic sports, such as water skiing, jet skis, banana rides, stand-up-paddle, kite surfing, scuba diving, paragliding, sailing or horse back riding, excursions with quads and go-karts. A fantastic selection of diverse restaurants is available both in Puerto de Alcudia and in Alcudia: lovers of traditional cuisine or ethnic foods will easily find their favorite spot, just as those with a discerning palate will enjoy the highly elaborated dishes of Puerto Alcudia´s fine restaurants, such as El Jardin.

The little-known residential area Bonaire is located directly on the coast and offers a wonderful view of the bay of Pollenca. Only a few minutes away from Alcúdia (3 km), Bonaire offers a good starting point for exploring the area. Its sandy coves and pebble beaches are precious with crystalline water, inciting visitors to snorkel or dive, exploring marine life. Neighboring the idyllic marina “Cocodrillo”, there are diverse restaurants, a chill-out bar, a supermarket and a diving center.

Nach 7 Tagen erfolgt eine kleine Zwischenreinigung der Bäder und ein Wechsel der Laken und Handtücher. Nach weiteren drei bis vier Tagen werden nochmals die Handtücher gewechselt.
