Charming property. Excellent decor. Facilities good. Beautiful location. Owners friendly and helpful

  • 4 of 5

The property was located in an excellent part of the countryside where we enjoyed several walks with breathtaking views. It was also situated close to interesting places to visit: Chestnut wildlife park, Quarry Bank Mill and Macclesfield where we enjoyed learning about its history. Parking at the cottage was very good. We enjoyed delicious evening meals at The Beehive and afternoon tea at Chinley tea rooms was delightful. Our week at Nuthatch was very enjoyable and relaxing and the weather was just what we needed at this time of year.

Lovely cottage

  • 4 of 5

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Within walking distance to two lovely pubs.

The cottage description was very good. Well equipt cottage with lovely courtyard and ideal seating areas. The cottage was lovely and clean and well equipt. Just a couple of niggles . Some of the pottery was badly chipped. The bedrooms were lovely but the duvets weren't heavy enough and weren't big enough for the beds. As a consequence we had a bit of a tug of war during the night.

We would rent the cottage again and recommend it to friends.

The little niggles are easily remedied .

Owner's Response: Hi Ann Maria, Thank you for your review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. I will pass the comments onto the owner regarding the chipped crockery and duvets - as you say easily remedied! Derbyshire Country Cottages.
