Guestbook comments from the manager

A superb, clean country retreat in an old building and lovely quiet village. Ample towels, shower gel so don't worry if you forget something. A great space to work which is what our primary goal was. Would certainly return to this place

Beautiful house

We had a fantastic holiday in this beautiful house. Clean and comfortable and full use was made of the garden at night. Lots of lovely walks for the dogs nearby. Beautiful countryside in every direction . Highly recommend.

Wonderful cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 5 had a wonderful time. The cottage is warm, spacious (4 bedrooms) and perfectly equipped including the kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms, wifi and the wood-burning fireplace! We walked 5 minutes up the hill to the Horse & Groom pub for a lovely dinner. Easy driving access to Stratford-upon-Avon (25 minutes) and Bath (90 minutes).

Horseshoe - Ellis - 27th/28th Dec

  • 4 of 5

Overall a very nice cottage - warm, nice bedrooms, comfortable living space. On the negatives, I think it’s pretty pricey for what it is and the layout/quality of the bathrooms could do with a re-vamp... both items I suspect you are aware of!

A weekend break with old friends - a lovely cottage with character and plenty of space.

  • 5 of 5

The cottage has a great open plan downstairs area - perfect for a group of friends. The location is good for visiting the Cotswolds with a pub very close.

Lovely, well maintained, open plan cottage

  • 5 of 5

We are a group of friends who regularly meet up. The cottage was an ideal space for us, with a lovely open plan area on the ground floor. Everything was very clean and the wifi worked very well - just as well as I had no mobile reception. The owners were helpful through the booking process, and the information in the cottage was very useful.

The area around the cottage and village was beautiful, but very busy (take into account traffic queues into all towns for shopping). Thank you.
