“Art Chapiz” is a beautiful and cozy two bedroom apartment in the heart of Granada’s most emblematic neighborhood, the Albayzin. Totally remodeled during last year, it has been finished to the highest standard of design and quality to keep its rustic Albayzin style while giving it a modern update using original paintings, exotic sculptures, and contemporary furniture.

Located in a traditional “Corrala” building with a picturesque central patio, the 70m2 apartment features all exterior rooms with a light color palate and natural stone and wood flooring which create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

The south-facing living room features two large windows and a balcony that opens onto the main street with panoramic views of the Alhambra and the Generalife. There is a white leather, corner sofa bed, a coffee table, a 42 inch flat-screen LCD television and a modern dining set suitable for up to 6 guests.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary utensils, tableware, and high-quality built-in appliances including; washing machine, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, microwave, Nespresso machine, etc.

The main bedroom features a window overlooking the inside patio, queen-sized bed (150x190cm) and a fitted wardrobe.

The second bedroom, facing south, features a balcony that overlooks the main street with views of the the Alhambra forest and the Generalife, queen-sized bed (150x190cm) and an open wardrobe.

Guests have their choice of synthetic-fill or ergonomic memory-foam pillows.

The bathroom faces the inside patio and is finished with natural stone, featuring a thermostatic rain shower column, chromo therapy lighting, high quality towels and a hair dryer.

All rooms have air conditioning and heating units as well as Wi-Fi internet access.

Granada, especially the Albayzin, is a city that invites you to discover it on foot. The apartment is strategically located: -200 meters from the Paseo de los Tristes, a beautiful street for restaurants and tapas that sits below the Alhambra fortress and on the edge of the Darro River. -300 meters from the Mirador de San Nicolas, which has the best panoramic views of the Alhambra and Granada – a must-see stop for everyone visiting Granada, especially at sunset. -100 meters from Sacromonte (Holy Mountain), home to Granada’s cave houses and many flamenco shows. -And 600 meters to Plaza Nueva, the city center, with its numerous restaurants, bars and terraces.

Perfect place for 3 or 4 guests

We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Communication with Jamie was fantastic in advance of our stay. She realized we had picked an arrival date with some road restrictions and worked out a plan B which prevented what would have been a nightmare without her intervention. The apartment itself is very clean and modern. The front bedroom is on the street but the window is quite soundproofing. Combine that with a private A/C/heating unit for the room with its associated low fan hum and outside noise was not an issue during our stay. Alhambra is just a 15 minute walk away and the old town is at your doorstep.

Very nice apartment in great location!

The apartment was very nice in a great location! Air conditioning individually in each room was a nice feature. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware and silverware. Only drawback is the street is noisy with both foot traffic and vehicle traffic. Walking distance to the Alhambra is about 1K total. 250 meters downhill and 750 meters uphill. Nice Restaraunt right next door for breakfast or lunch. Would definitely stay there again!

Firstly I would like to thank Roberto and Elizabeth for all their help in making our stay go so smoothly. The apartment is in a perfect location, close to many great bars and restaurants. It is well equipped and tastefully decorated. Well recommended.

Atmosphere in Albayzin

The apartment has an excellent compact bath, well equipped kitchen and supremely comfortable bed(s) - we used only one. Chic living/ dining room. Good WiFi. Responsive property manager, too. From this spot, we hiked to the Alhambra and all central sites. I also took a great hike through Sacromonte and beyond - open countryside within 30 minutes of the flat! The local minibus passes the door. Driving in Granada is to be avoided but - following the detailed instructions carefully - you WILL arrive without too much fuss. Courtyard is super-quiet: we saw no neighbours. The bedroom facing the street (which we did not occupy) does get a lot of street noise, including partiers in the early hours. However, the manager informs me that they will soon install double glazing to address this issue.
