About this property

This is a Luxury 2 bedroom , 2 bath, fully air-conditioned apartment located in central Colombo. It is fully furnished and has running hot and cold water, living room/dining room, fully equipped kitchen and even a balcony. Linen, towels, soap, toilet paper and crockery are provided as is Internet/Wi-fi service. The use of the Swimming pool, the Gym and Parking space for 1 car is included in the rental. It is very centrally located - walking distance to the US, UK and Indian embassies. A Mall with Shops, Supermarket and Food Court are located in the basement. It is also walking distance to the Galle Face Green and Fort area - for business and pleasure plus Nightclubs and nightlife. It is in the Cinnamon Grand Hotel complex and all Hotel facilities such as world class restaurants and the Coffee Shop are available to all guests. We are a family run business and try to make all our Guests very welcome, happy and comfortable.
Utilities (electricity) are not included. Each guest pays for what he/she uses.The electricity charge per unit is LKR 49.00. This is how much we are billed per unit by Crescat Management and we do not make any money off this. Guests can pay at the end of their stay... the day of departure - in LKR.

Home away from home

Although I was far away from my Florida USA home I was warmly received by the owner & his representative. The apartment is exactly as pictured & the location cannot be equaled. Would not hesitate to return.

Very spacious and great view!

We were met by the friendly and helpful custodian Pradeep who showed us around and helped us move in. The apartment was very clean and and well stocked. In addition to pots pans linen and cutlery we were pleasantly surprised to find tea, coffee and sugar etc. Its close proximity to the Coffee shop and other amenities at Cinnamon Grand is a huge plus! Will definitely revisit and recommend.

Best locationh

First of all thanks to Mr. Prianga for all his efforts to make our stay enjoyable. Most of all we liked that there was space and light also quiet enough. Combined with location, next to premium services starting from the lobby and friendly staff. Though there was separate aironditioning in each room, we kept windows open all the day for fresh air. Somehow the carpeted floors causes leeking nose and itching eyes. Reading lights could have been brighter beside the bed an we considered electriccity quite expensive, more than 30 dollars for four nights, especially that we even didn't cook at all.

My wife and I are singers - born in Sri Lanka and now living in New York City. We own this apartment and manage it as well. Our son, Dinuke, is based in Sri Lanka and takes care of all the day to day activities regarding the apartment as well as welcome the guest/s when they arrive. We both grew up in Sri Lanka, went to school, still have our respective families living there and we visit our homeland often. Eventually we hope to retire back home.
We first came over with our music and lived in London, England (where Dinuke was born). Having performed in various venues in England and Scotland we moved to Honolulu, Hawaii. There we met Harry Belafonte who invited us to come to New York City. Ever since we have been singing and acting here in the US and continue to do so.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property, or rather Dinuke, because of its central location. He had researched many locations and many apartment buildings and felt that the Crescat Residencies was unique - the location, the amenities, the proximity to Embassies, the Fort area, the Galle Face Green, beaches, markets, shops, malls, transport facilities, etc., and above all the solid structure of the building itself. The rooms are large and the ceilings high.
