Overview

About the property

3 bedrooms, sleeps 5. (1 double bed, 1 room with 2 singles, 1 room with 1 single). 2 baby travel cots available.

The apartment is newly refurbished and modern, spacious, has a balcony, and, most importantly, is in a great location: less than 1 minute to the beach (2nd in line). The flat is great for small groups, couples and families.

Town centre, the high street, popular restaurants and dining options, cafes, supermarkets, two big playgrounds (great for parents with small children) just minutes away.

Beach towels, beach umbrella, towels and bed linen are provided.

The living/dining room and the master bedroom have a balcony which can be accessed via sliding doors. The two other bedrooms (a twin and single) are connected by a door and their windows face the inner courtyard.

Modern kitchen with microwave, 4-ring hob, kettle, fridge-freezer and washing machine.

There are two travel cots (for children up to three years) in the flat which parents are welcome to use.

There is a lift in the building. However, there are six steps before the lift can be accessed.

The flat is located just a few minutes walk to the old town centre of Fuengirola with its charming square where the locals relax and gossip. Bars, clubs and other nightlife spots are around 10 minutes walking distance.

You get the best of both worlds - the flat is located in the original part of Fuengirola, before it started expanding. Therefore, the area has a village feel to it - while you are never far from the major tourist attractions and the modern face of the town, you can also feel that the spirit of "old" Fuengirola is still alive.

Dining:

The leafy town square with its church is just a few minutes away, where you can relax while watching tourists and locals go by. Even closer is the Plaza de los Chinorros, a buzzing square full of restaurants and bars, which has become a hugely popular spot over the last two years; as well as the restaurant-lined Moncayo street (aptly nicknamed "Street of Hunger"); or the newly opened gastromarket, where it is hard to take a decision regarding what local delicacy to try first.

Supermarkets:

There are several convenience stores and supermarkets in the immediate vicinity.

Shopping centres and cinemas:

The Miramar shopping centre is just a short taxi ride away (or 20' walking) - you will find most major chains there, as well as independent shops and a big cinema playing all the latest films in original language.

Another cinema, Alfil, is just a few minutes away, showing the latest movies dubbed in Spanish.

A big Corte Ingles supermarket and department store is a short taxi ride away (or 30' walking). It also has a Starbucks, for those thirsting for their frappuchino fix :-).

Excursions:

There are also plenty of opportunities for excursions - for example, Mijas, a beautiful, typical Andalusian village in the hills surrounding Fuengirola, is just 15 away minutes by bus. Stroll through the scenic village, sample local food and drink and don't forget to try the local Mijas mode of transport, the burro-taxi...a donkey.

You can also take the local train to Torremolinos, or Malaga; or venture further out to Marbella, Ronda or even go on a trip trip to Granada or Gibraltar.

Nice modern apartment close to all amenities

The apartment Is easily located just a street back from stunning sea views and a lovely beach.As its in a typical Spanish street ,it was at times noisy but what you'd expect. The rooms to the front were bright and airy but a shame the back bedrooms looked out onto a outside area with no direct light. The apartment was modern, clean and had an excellent wi-fi service. The only downside for us was that the T.V had only Spanish channels, not even a Sky news Channel! As you would usually expect. So unless you've got a computer or tablet there was limited entertainment in the apartment.

However, this might not bother some guests. We enjoyed our stay nevertheless and stay here again.
