Overview

About the property

The Coach House is set in the grounds of Sheepcote Farm with far reaching views of the famous Suffolk Essex border countryside. The house has it's own sunny terrace overlooking the gardens and countryside beyond. There is shared use of a large outdoor pool and tennis court, bicycles and table tennis. The gardens lead onto public walking paths, The Stour Valley Way and King Edmunds Way. The River Stour is a short walk away and a pleasant riverside pub The Henny Swan. Sudbury town is also close by with a train station, numerous pubs and restaurants and several good supermarkets. The beautiful villages of Lavenham and Long Melford are also a short drive away.

About The Owner

I am an Osteopath and my husband is a Solicitor. We have three grown up children. We love travelling, the theatre and cooking.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2012

Why The Owner chose Sudbury

The location is beautiful and very quiet. Close to Sudbury and all the amenities but secluded and very peaceful. I am a keen gardener and fell in love with the extensive country garden. There are many lovely local villages to explore such as Lavenham and Long Melford. We bought the house from friends four years ago, they also bought it from friends.

What makes this cottage unique

Shared use of secluded beautiful grounds in scenic countryside with direct access to local footpaths for walkers. Tennis court, outdoor pool, table tennis, bicycles.

Brilliant family holiday. Pool has amazing views. Beautiful surroundings. Would have happily stayed an extra week, or month!

Week at Sheepcote Farm

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely week and the owners were very helpful before and after booking. It was very peaceful and it felt like ours for a week! We had a lot of visiting to do so didn't use all of the activities available like the tennis. Lots of wildlife and birds to watch in the gardens if you like that sort of thing which we do. Would highly recommend.
