Excellent location and perfect cottage!

  • 5 of 5

On arrival our first impression was 'Wow!'

The owner had taken the time to set the cottage to be a perfect little Christmas haven. The tree was up with lights and the table set for Christmas including crackers. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and we enjoyed the Cava in front of the log burner as our daughter was in bed. Wifi was perfect and the TV including Netflix was great. We spent 7 nights here over Christmas and would definitely return and have already started recommending it to others. The pub (The Dudley Arms) is only a short walk (100 yards) away. They also serve food. The location is quite remote, lots of friendly locals. Making it perfect for getting away from it all. Would not hesitate to go back. Big thanks to Aled and Debbie.

Perfect, homely cottage. Spotless, stylish and with everything you need. Very friendly owners.

  • 5 of 5

The owners were very friendly and helpful. They provided a welcome tray of bread, spread, milk, wine and Welsh cakes, which was a very welcome touch. The cottage was beautiful. Very well designed and modern in style, yet retaining its character and charm. The garden was fully enclosed, making it very dog friendly. We self catered most of the week and the cottage had all the cooking utensils we needed. The mattress on the double bed was very comfortable and the bed was made with lovely soft, high quality sheets. The location was ideal. On the high street, but at the quiet end and near to the excellent Berwyn arms. There are also footpaths opposite the cottage that lead onto the Berwyn Mountains. A perfect place for a quiet, relaxing break (very little mobile phone reception to disturb your holiday!). Highly recommended.

Traditional cottage in beautiful rural location

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Smithy cottage in the picturesque village of Llandrillo. A perfect rural getaway within easy reach of Snowdonia national park. The cottage was lovely, modern and well equipped, whilst retaining its old age charm. The owners were very welcoming and close at hand if needed. We would definitely like to visit Smithy cottage again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.

Cosy and very comfortable!

  • 4 of 5

Loved our stay at Smithy Cottage and immediately felt relaxed when we arrived. The wine and Welsh cakes were a really kind touch left by the owners Aled and Deb. Stunning area to stay in and explore with lots of walks right from the front door. We will definitely be back again soon.
